I guess it's a matter of when you grow up. I was a kid in the mid-90's and remember when UT put the black on the road uni. They then proceeded to dominate on the road.

The road uni without black trim looks weird. I think the orange pops off nicely from the black trim.

They could have used gray which is a UT color instead.

I always thought the black looked tacky.

I was a teenager for most of the 90's. I didn't like the black outline from the start. The current away is the best we've had since the 80s.

1997 had the best UT unifoms in my lifetime. adidas got these right. Hopefully Nike could do something similar.

Numbers were too big. Jerseys too baggy. And Adidas couldn't get the orange to match throughout the uni.
