He certainly passes the stats test, and the on-field winner test.

Now we need to know what kinds of throws he can make, and how quickly he can process information.
And then, what kind of teammate is he?

Maybe we could trade for him. Nico's dad would love watching games in Buffalo...

We may not get "better". We may simply get comparable or less. Either way, we have to get a 3rd QB on campus, if for no other reason than to push competition and add depth.
Ok but how about we actually go get a good one? This isn't a day 1 portal addition. According to the op this guy makes crazy throws but looking at his stats no one can catch them.

And you won't get someone light years better. He is very serviceable at a minimum but more importantly fills an immediate need.

Whether we host a playoff game in Knoxville in December or have to travel to Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, or a Michigan, playing in the cold weather will not be an excuse at all. This dude played in Buffalo which might be the coldest place on the planet for human habitation when you factor in lake effect wind chills and high winds.

Do you expect to sign the next Peyton Manning tomorrow? Went 10-2 with Nico and why couldn't they with Ogbonna or better?

If this guy is our qb I don't believe we should be worried about playoffs

I'd take him as the 3rd string option in a heartbeat. Starter? I'll go with who we have.

All of us Vol football fans need to get used to the idea even with the portal opening, we are not going to get an upgrade at the QB position this coming season. At best we need somebody that won’t make the big mistake, which for that position means no fumbles, few interceptions, and limited sacks. I have yet to see Heupel put a UT QB on the field that routinely throws the ball away rather taking sacks. We can be successful this year but not if we expect or put too much on inexperienced QBs this season.

TN/Heupel will pull in a better QB than this MAC qb....

So Buffalo's OL and WR are better and more talented than Tennessee's? If I'm wrong I guess this makes Tennessee a mid major?
They play their own level. Buffalo's OL and WR go against comparable DL and DB. Against that competition he had fewer yards and a much lower comp %
