Cincy was 1-4 on the road last year

Lost to Fresno 28-14
Lost to NC St 31-19
Lost to WVa 37-10
Lost to UConn 38-17
Beat Louisville 35-27

The vaunted Cincy O averaged a staggering 19 points a game and the D gave up 32.2 on the road.

They lost their best player in Armon Binns who led the team in receptions, yards and Td's.

Collaros had 10 td's and 8 picks on the road. Mr. Mobile also had 100 yards rushing on 69 attempts for 0.69 yards per carry on the road.

Pead only averaged 56 yards a game on the road.

The Cincy D gave up 235 yards a game through the air giving up 25 tds while picking off only 8 passes. They only registered 27 sacks and 7 were against Rutgers.

They were also picked to finish 5th in the Big East in the media poll just behind Syracuse.


Guys, it's true. Cincy is bad.

I just don't get the point of threads and posts like this. If you're right, and they are bad, you should beat them and yada yada yada. But if you lose, and you've called them bad ....

It will be ok. We lose this game and we deserve to be ridiculed.

It's just all the posts about how great their offense is.

I just don't know why people are worried about this game. If we lose we are really bad and are looking at a 4 win season. Cincy is like the 3rd or 4th worst team we will play.

We would score 40 with Simms at QB this week.

It's because the Tennessee fan base has been forced to expect the worst as of late. Dooley is changing that. It just takes time.

Granted they are probably better this year then last but do you really think it makes a damn when the ball is snapped Saturday.I for one do not,but I do expect to win with pride and treat this game like it is UF getting a beatdown.Our young guys will gain confidence.We really should win this game by 2 tds.

I mean we were 2-3 last year on the road with our two wins being against memphis and vandy. we are even younger than last year looking for experience and they will be better than last year with more experience (10 starters on D). We definitely have more speed and better athletes which give us an advantage, but it will be a good, high scoring game. We will prevail though

Our dominance in home games has been missing for quite some time. Wyoming comes to mind, plus a few other games too close for comfort (UAB last season anyone?). That being said, I think Dooley will make sure the players don't overlook this team.

We are 4-1 vs. Cinci all time and haven't lost to them since 1904 (Teddy Roosevelt was President). I don't see it happening this year.

I mean HOLY COW they put up 72 on AP... go ahead and give them the trophy

You are comparing a big east road scedule to an SEC road schedule. Not the same. And what does our road record have to do with this game anyway? We are at home.

Seriously we only put up 42 against Montana with the starters in longer then halftime. I mean seriously you chodes we are not that much better then UC so stop riding your high horse and doing your sister. The VOLS SUCK.:salute:
