Ciera Burdick "back" in the WNBA

Ciera Burdick, who was waived by the LA Sparks on June 4, 2015, has, as of June 17, 2015, signed a contract to play with the Atlanta Dream.

nah Ariel isnt with the Dream.

Cierra was signed due to Hayes and Henry playing overseas for a few days... I wonder how long her contract is for!

Hayes and Henry will both miss 5 games so that means Burdick will atleast be signed until July 4th (as Both Henry and Hayes should be back for the July 5th game) seeing as though Atlanta wanted to draft Burdick (but LA drafted her before they could) I could see her staying on the team and LA releasing someone else. With their lack of depth at the 3/4 spot and them being loaded at the 1/2 spots I could see them releasing a player like Matee Ajavon or Roneeka Hodges (Both veterans with higher salaries) in favor for Burdick (who has a smaller cap hit as a rookie) the key is consistency! Burdick has to play like she did when Izzy went down and not like the Burdick who some days would just show up to the game but not really interested in playing.

No Ariel is out this WNBA season (she's still injured) but she will probably try to play overseas in the Fall!

She played well today against the Liberty, lots of energy!

DC, I'm not sure if she is signed for the season or to a short term contract. However, she is getting some significant playing time (at least in the games I've seen) and seems to be making the most of this opportunity. Given the fact that she is seeing the floor and how well she is playing, if it is a short term contract, there is, in my opinion, a decent chance that it will be extended.
