Report: Vols talking to Bucs' Barry about coordinator job GoVolsXtra
Currently he is with the Jets and will have to wait until after the playoff games this weekend to make any sort of move - assuming they lose. If the Jet's win and head to the Super Bowl I think Dooley looks else where.
He has a very good history in shaping D lineman...
He played ball with coach Dooley...
What do you guys think?
Meanwhile, former UT defensive end Chuck Smith is considered a candidate to be the Vols next defensive line coach, according to a source close to the situation.
Smith played high school football with Dooley and has made a name for himself working with NFL defensive linemen.
He is the assistant defensive line coach for the New York Jets, who play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game.
Smith was credited with helping former Vol Robert Ayers become a first round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. Smith served as a trainer/consultant for former college players before landing a position with the Jets.
