Just before I left for Gainesville, I dropped by to wish the Vols good luck against UGA. It's hard for me to root for the Vols, but being an Atlanta Gator, it's VERY easy to root against UGA. I'm glad that your boys were able to handle the dogs, and did it in demonstrative fashion. (and thanks for not breaking the Gator scoring record in Athens - that 52 points Florida hung on them means a lot to me - and since the game is played in Jacksonville almost every year, we may never get a chance to exceed it).

Obviously my trip to Gainesville went well. Most of the LSU fans were good folks, except for a minor pregame run-in with a 300#+ LSU female fan we didn't see or hear anything other than folks cheering for their own team. We appreciated the gifts that we received from LSU's offense.

So I asked for 2 things - Vols to beat UGA, and UF to beat LSU. I didn't ask for Auburn to lose to Arkansas, but it was great that Arkansas further pointed out weaknesses in Auburn's game that hopefully UF can exploit this week. That 3-game combination was like Christmas in October for this Gator fan.

You Vols get an extra week to enjoy this win prior to the annual shootout with Bama. While I can't say that I'm hoping for your team to win, I think that you likely will win it, perhaps decisively. Your offense was really clicking in the 2nd half, and your defense got the job done as the game wore on. That should go a LONG way towards getting you guys through the season.

If not for a rare missed PAT by Wilhoit, it would have been 52.

Just another example of how everything is going right for the gators right now.

i think you guys might be catching the plainsmen at the worst possible time. you guys are coming in on cloud 9, and Auburn has a bad taste in it's mouth...

now, having said that, on paper, i can't see how Auburn could put any points on the board against that D...but i think ole Tommy might have something up his sleeve...it's going to be a interesting game no doubt. and i have to root for Auburn...nothing personal, completely selfish. War Eagle.
