Yes... yes they were a mess... still hung over from the war, the line made up of Lee, Grant, Sherman, Longstreet, and McClellan could not work in unison. They argued about who should lead... but they all agreed, that the best way to conduct an offensive operation was to hide in the cover of tree line next to the hill. They had 200 penalties for off-sides that day.

It was actually two schools that merged. Chattanooga University and Grant University to form University of Chattanooga. Which later became University of Tennessee Chattanooga.
