You mean during the first 4 or 5 weeks of the season, when he was trying to tell everyone that JG was playing well at QB? You know, right before he benched him in favor of a true freshman due to his all-around abysmal play.
What are you trying to say?

Yeah because a 2 sport star who came back to college to win the Heisman, and a Nat'l Championship, at 28 and then have a career in the NFL is just irrelevant..Alrighty then..SMDH
You should shake your head. Playing does not necessarily equate to coaching success. They are not the same skill set completely. There is only a small overlap. SMMFDHRN.

Strange argument. He said it was his opinion Wienke had all the ingredients to be a good coach and gave reasons why, and you say they are irrelevant. You're wrong. Then you say "Playing does not necessarily equate to coaching success". That's true, but it doesn't automatically equate to failure. In fact, without google or anything but memory, I'll bet for every successful coach you name that didn't play at all, I can name one that did.

Wienke may not be a good QB coach, but to say his playing experience is " irrelevant " is laughable. SMHADL.
