Chris Petersen is losing his patience with the Pac 12

he's another i would love to have

In my opinion, he's the best college football coach in the country not named Saban. What he's been able to do at Boise State and now Washington is amazing. He truly doesn't give a rip about recruiting rankings. His staff excels at finding and developing talent more than any staff in the country.

He would absolutely be my number one pick. Even over Gruden and Chip Kelly. Petersen is the best developer and gameplanner in college football.

My favorite but if I'm not mistaken he was approached last time and wasn't interested

Neal Brown from Troy would be my pick for next coach but there's not going to be a coaching change anytime soon. We're stuck with Butch and should quit making numerous threads about who we want as our next coach.

There was a time when I was skeptical. He inherited a great team (relative to the conference, at least), and I wasn't sure he would really kill it at a higher level. Clearly, he is capable. I don't see him leaving his current job, though.

Would love to have him but he is not coming anywhere near here.

I believe this to be true. He's the only "candidate" who I have 100% confidence in, but there's almost no chance of him coming. He seems to be a guy who tries to maintain a peaceful lifestyle. Knoxville ain't the place for that.

Has nothing to do with Tennessee.

Not leaving West Coast (family reasons).

But, let me ask this. Why leave Washington?

Exactly.

I don't know why people assume there's a line around the block full of A-list coaches begging to coach at UT.

I'm waiting on the Belichick thread...you know it's coming. Or what about Bill Cowher? He can't be happy doing a pre-game show. :thud:

Just an FYI - the main reason he even took the Washington gig is because his son was in the hospital 2-3 times a week. The only dr that could help was in...Washington.
