In his recent weekend notebook, Jay Bilas listed Chris Lofton as the finsest shooter he's seen all year. He talks about Chris' ability to make different shots and his range. He goes on to say he needed to work on his mid-range game and his ability to get to the free-throw line by getting to the rim. Also how good a contested shooter he is.

Not only did CL catch some love but also UT's pace of play and defense. How it takes a mature and expierenced group of ballhandlers and passers to deal with the Vol's press. Jay goes on to basically say that the press is going to be a stern test for Texas and to expect turn overs espciecially from the in-bounds plays that Tennessee defends so well.

I know UT got back-handed when ESPN pretty much forgot about they're prime time game against Oklahoma St. that was won with 1.9 seconds left by a guy who had to flex his knees to the floor just to get the ball to the rim from the foul line, BUT finally a little of what hopefully is a lotta love for the VOLS!

Plenty of season left to get noticed. Exactly how it played out last year too. They'll get the love.

Jay Bilas is a tool. He slammed UT when we got beat by Butler and UNC. Piss on him. We don't want him on the bandwagon.

I think jay bilas has a crush on kevin durant and some of the others on texas lol. Whenever there was a foul on texas he was constantly sayin "Oh, I dont know about that one."

Ironically, I saw a sign in the crowd that said "Tennessee hearts ESPN"

:)
I saw that and was thinkin' that I seriously doubt the sign holder is a member in good standing of the Volnation.com family... :eek:lol:

Lofton had 35 points and 11 rebounds. That's solid right there.

The Longhorns, who have the youngest starting lineup in school history, looked like they were headed for an easy victory to avenge last year's stunning 95-78 loss to the other UT in Austin last year in coach Bruce Pearl's first season.

grrrrrr

Did anyone else notice that our outstanding freshmen also got the shaft in the article that discussed the impact freshmen this year? I wouldn't mind, since they haven't been on the level of many others EXCEPT, they even gave love to Meeks, Stephenson, and Jasper at UK.

If what you quoted was actually in there, they changed it now.
