For the record I hate it when some 1 does a poll that you cant see who voted for what. I voted 11-2 loss to Cal 17-16 and the the gators 27-24, all others a win.

Five people voted for the 13-0 mark. What on Earth makes them think that is realistic? I can't see how anyone other than USC would be thinking ahead of time that they ought to be undefeated or a one-loss team. Just too difficult to do.

It's the summer. This is the best time for everybody to dream about perfect seasons.

Actually, for all but perhaps one or two of the 115 or so Div.I schools, it is the only time to think in those terms.

Are you sure you got your point across? By the way, 11-2 isn't a realistic goal for this team.

Why? I expect to be able to beat any team on the schedule every year. Sometimes we don't..but we usually do well. It's not completely out of the question to have only 2 losses.

As was the case with last year, I'm on the either/or teeter-totter where I can see this team either winning all the regular season games before facing LSU in the SEC C-ship or I can see this team losing to Cal, UF, UGA, Bama, SC (and possibly even KY and/or Arky if it really goes that bad). It probably means the real answer is somewhere in the middle (8 or 9 wins). I'm really anxious to see the Southern Miss. game as I think it will portend the direction of the season much moreso than the Cal game.

Top 3 receivers gone, best o lineman gone, best d-lineman gone, most of secondary gone. Thats a whole lot to fill up in one off season.

11-2 is not an unrealistic expectation. Many of the teams that Tennessee will be facing this year will have major growing pains. Sure, Tennessee lost some key players, but Florida lost nearly its ENTIRE defense, plus a senior QB. Who knows about Georgia this year, they may be solid but beatable. Bama may get shoved around on defense a little this year. SC will have a good defense, but a poor offense. Cal is just not as talented of a team as Tennessee is, they lost their best players on defense and they were not even very good with them.

I think it is quite probable that behind the leadership of a senior QB like Ainge that Tennessee can win at least 10 games. Ainge has the ability to win many games by himself with only mediocre play from the rest of the Offense.

Im going with 9-4. I dont see how we're any better then last year's team. Too many question marks, too much Fulmer.

Next year and the year after I think we're looking at 2-loss seasons or better. But its just not happening this year.

Next year Auburn rotates back onto the schedule and depending on how long each of them stay Stafford and Tebow will be in their primes with fully "reloaded" offenses. If there was going to a be a year anytime soon this is it IMO.

If this is it then we are in trouble. Too many questions and the same coaches with the same mind games. Insanity....committing the same actions expecting different results.

Kinda reminds me of 2004...I'm just saying don't count them out. Noone was talking about Meachem much until he broke out. If the JUCOs pan out, and we get more help from freshmen, I can see us being a very good team.

As Casey Clausen left UT (at the end of the 2003 season), he said that our next QB would have a phenomenal young WR corps. I think he was right. Those guys were all pretty talented, but never really developed until Trooper took over. I'm not sure the unit we currently have is as talented. Hopefully Trooper can still make something productive out of them.
