attempted 3 FGs today for the white team. He made all three. Distances were 28, 41, and 42 yds. He got the ball up and was very accurate. Might be able to battle Palardy fro the starting job.

I think that officially eliminates Lincoln even before Palardy steps on campus. Rhome was impressive.

I hadn't either. It will be palardy though come august. I'm not even worried about it. You're not going to put a walk-on over the top kicker in the class.

Not saying they will put the top kicker in his class on the bench, but with the troubles we had last year it was nice to see a kid come out and actually make FGs. Pressure or not he was accurate and once agin got the ball off the ground, were it wont get blocked. He could compete IMO. Palardy will get it with this kid getting backup.

Yup. I wish Lincoln would just leave. He was great his freshman year, but after that, hasn't been anything special at all.

it's amazing to me to see how far lincoln has fallen. from being the starting kicker in '07-'09 all the way to possibly being the 3rd guy behind palardy and maybe rhome if he makes a real push in the fall. that's unbeleivable.

So Rhome is the correct spelling? I haven't seen it in print so I misspelled it then.

He looked good. Decent distance...accuracy good. On his third fg I noticed most of his team ran by him to give a fiver or pat him. Most of our veteran players have never seen a three-for-three fg day.

Good chance of becoming the starting FG kicker. Palardy will handle kickoffs and probably punts.

Yeah, I hadn't even heard of this guy, but he was certainly money today..and the team was definitely rallying around him after kicks....good sign.
