Would love to get but I doubt it. SC or someone like that will will get him and win the NC in a few years while we still rotate mid major coaches. Vol Luck baby.

Let me tell you how Tennessee works. Hiring a Coach like Chip Kelly requires a little creativity and proactiveness on behalf of an administration.

Tennessee won't fire Butch Jones after this year. Kelly will get hired at the end of this year, and Tennessee will be looking for a HC next year when NO QUALITY COACHES are available. That's how this works.

I thought he had a good thing going in Philly, but after a slow start to the season, I guess he's about ready to go back to college. Hope we have an AD with the balls to do whatever it takes to bring him in.

I never thought I'd be willing to turn on Butch this fast, but his coaching performance is abysmal. Most conservative I've ever seen, and I hated that aspect about Fulmer. Butch is worse. Just when we need to get a first down or two, to run out the clock, he goes uber-conservative and the opponent knows it. Twice we got jobbed because of it. And uber-conservative play calls by Janzek...with that 3 down linemen on 3rd and 4th downs, BS.

That's not true. The money was there for Gruden. He just wanted too much control. If we could land a top coach I assure you money would not be an issue.

OK you want Chip Kelly because you say Butch is not a good coach. Kelly and the Eagles are 0-2 and has one of the best running back in the NFL and he don't use him. He has the Eagles a mess. Kinda like the mess Kiffin and Dooley left Butch. But you still want Kelly. :banghead2::mf_surrender::furious3:

Tennessee would never pay what it would take to get a coach of his caliber.

We'll hire Joe Schmoe from Pellissippi State.

Until Tennessee gets a better coach I am done. He can not coach! We deserve better. Butch is nothing more than a glorified recruiter and after today I would be amazed if he will be in near future.

It's not just the loss. If we lined up and got beat by a superior football team I would be okay. We lost to a sub par Florida team. We were the more talented team on the field. We blew yet again a two possession lead and it boils down to the coaching getting the job done. I like butch. Really do. I just have to see wins. If I go to work and I'm not performing I will lose my job. It's not about Butch. It's business. A good business decision is to go ahead and get the feelers out to Chip or another high caliber coach and do what we have to do to be successful.

LOL....Chip Kelly is no fool. IF the administration were dumb enough to fire Jones now, do you really think he would be willing to take a chance knowing he will face the same BS?

Kelly uses Murray plenty.....where do you get that he doesn't. Also it's laughable that Kelly will even be available after this year and even more hilarious that he would ever consider coming here.

I am so tired of this stupid spread offense. I miss the days of NFL caliber QB's (in measurables anyway), RBs, WRs and linemen dominating the field for us. I hate this gimmicky crap. If anything Chip Kelly is proving it won't work in the league. I don't want him or anyone else who run it. (Urban is an anomaly not the norm.)
