We are in year 2. We have a very young team and offensive line. Our defense is getting better. So is our offense. If Butch keeps up this level of recruiting (he will), then we will be very good in the future. This isn't the end of the world. We will be fine.

I agree but the reason I am ( and most fans) are pissed is that we lost to inferior competition today and that shouldn't happen. Oregon, Bama last year and even Oklahoma and probably georgia this year were all understandable losses. Last years loss to Vandy and this game are similar in that we should have won if not for coaching mistakes.

We are not in year two. Vols football had been failing for over a decade. It is not fun to watch. I would rather clean out my basement than watch a offense that can't manage a touchdown and a coaching staff that has yet to adapt to the inability to run the inside zone.

I agree, this year is a wash but we really need to get to a bowl game this year. I think Dooley hurt our program more than anyone imagines.

This team is looking 4-8 right in the eye if things don't change on the offensive side of the ball soon

Yep but the goal is still in sight! Hurts to lose this one because we are the better team already. 7-5 and a bowl was the goal for a young team. Everyone including myself had raised expectations based on the play the last 2 games. We are exactly where we were predicting to be at the beginning of the season. 2-3 after 5 games.

Reality sux but that is where we are and should be after year 2 of CBJ and staff with this young team especially with the mess Dool's and Kiffy left it in.

It's amazing how quickly I can go from being so proud of our fan base to being so embarrassed by our fan base. That checkerboard was beautiful today, crowd was awesome. Then we lose and everyone is back to burning couches. I'm pissed just like everyone, I'm tired of losing too. We should've won the last two weeks, but came up just short. Stop whining that the coaches should be fired (except bajakian), they are working with true freshman for the most part. This will get turned around, but it takes time to fix a trainwreck.

If our OL were such that some part of it didn't break down on every play we would have beaten UGA & FL I think we are doing the best we can with what we got.....OL improve, we get good.

Worley throwing a pick in the end zone is the coaches fault? No, coaching did not lose this game. Our lack of offense line experience lost this game. We should have been up 17-0 at half. That is what lost this game.

So is our OL? We have a td against homa but not the gators and it's improvement? Dude, I'm on board with Butch but better?

I'm getting the same feeling. As long as this offense plays like they don't want to lose( too conservative) instead of playing to win( fast and furious) their not going to win but 2 more games. UTC and Vandy. Today's offense was not the same one that played GA, totally different style of play.

Did Worley check into another play at the line?

I agree somewhat but our lack of depth at OL is destroying us.

Not argueing but you have to admit how unusual it is to have a youthful OL be that terrible , while a youthful DL is so amazing. I'm starting to believe in a difference in coaching but by no means pretend to be an expert.. So could be "apples to oranges".

You might be on to something.

The bad thing about our OL is that it is young but also seems to very average and not very athletic. They will get better by experience but we need upgrades in talent. We absolutely can't block against a good front. I can't figure out why we don't leave max protection all the time. Worley is on his back or running for his life way too much.

In general we, as fans, forgive. But winning prorams, like Bama, (Just threw up in my mouth) fire for only dominating 2 out of 3 years. Maybe we are a little soft for a dog eat dog conference.

I dislike Dooley as much as the next guy, but I am sore tired of seeing this excuse. At some point, the current coaches and players have to start taking responsibility and winning meaningful games. This was not a good Fla time by any means.
