Still waiting for NASCAR to either make him use it in the Cup Series or let someone else use it instead of just "holding" onto it without using it.

I agree. It's long overdue. I still say though, legions of Earnhardt fans will be against this. There will even be those against using it in the truck series.

That's already happened. Mike Skinner tried to use it when he went back to the Truck Series full time a few years ago since that was the number he'd had success with while driving for RCR in the trucks back in the mid 90s and there was such a backlash that he ended up using #5.
