its all good. to each their own. i have kids and stuff like that just hits too close to home. i could not imagine the destruction that would take over my life if something like that happened to one of them.

I agree. I don't have any kids but I do have neices and nephews that I am really close to and I would want to swing the axe myself if anyone hurt any of them.

I think they should bring back public hanging for the death penalty.

I know, that was directed more toward one person.

I agree, all crimes would probably decrease. Crime will never stop but I think public hanging would make criminals think twice.

As I said before, I am all for capital punishment.

I just don't think we should go back to executions practiced by ancient romans, the inquisition, and witch hunts.

Capital punishment as a deterrent is a joke.

Not once does it enter their mind while they are sodomizing someone that they are going to get the death penalty. Heck, they don't even think about it when they are chopping them up into small parts.

Take the case of the guy in Cleveland, Ohio.

You really think he cares that he may receive the death penalty?

I prefer hard labor camps over the death penalty.

There is no deterring a psyco. It would make most reasonable people think before acting.

Capital punishment is often about retribution and appeasing the victims and the public, not about the actual criminal. I'm fine with that, but I think people should be up front about it.

Two drunks going at it over an ugly beer goggle girl at the bar at midnight and then one gets shot are not thinking about the death penalty.

No on is thinking about the death penalty when committing a crime.

That is not the real world.

When I am wrasslin with someone and they are going for the sig to kill me, they don't care about any thing in the world other than getting away by any means necessary.

The death penalty is a joke. I have the history of humankind to back me up.

If he was given the death penalty in the beginning he never would have had a chance to kill those people
