Chaz Coleman's future remains uncertain (CBS)

Suspect this goes just like Boo and Bey. See no benefit in trying to keep the kid if he wants to be somewhere else. Just get the money back and wish him well. Even if he does stay this time, I don't see how you can count on him going forward. Just end this already. Both parties will be better off.
Same. Sucks we wasted the resources recruiting him instead of someone else. Only really hurts us.

But no need to fight the headache. Good luck elsewhere. I'd bet money he never puts a UT helmet on during a game day.

So, he can have a problem inside his head like vertigo or concussion issues which we never used to hear about being a big deal other than "getting your bell rung" or taking a good hard lick.

I think concussions are just a fad, don't you? Soft. These guys are soft. That whole CTE is all just BS, right? It's only in the last 40 years...... it's a fad...... take your hits or you're soft.

Amazing that with other issues we can "learn about problems we didn't know about in the past" but there's no such thing as learning more about mental health.
This has been repeatedly referred to as “personal matters.” A concussion or vertigo is a health issue. One where you’d want the full support of the staff behind you. They’ve been saying this isn’t a Boo issue, which after that debacle, I can blame them for trying to get out ahead of. Let’s not pretend like OSU wasn’t pushing for this kid and that They haven’t continued to be in his ear.

He's apparently had the support of staff in this. With Boo, we heard about issues between him and the staff. With Coleman, we've heard nothing of issues between him and staff and only that he's "going through personal issues."

There's zero indication the staff isn't being supportive and I've seen rumors that he's in the building, having conversations, and actively working with staff.

Boo and his family were adversarial publicly while reports were that staff was working with Coleman and his family to resolve the problem.

I've seen nothing to indicate Coleman is causing a distraction to teammates or anything other than a player being treated like he has a health issue. All of the "it's a big issue" talk is here and nothing like Boo.

He's a Vol with a problem keeping him off the field and that appears to be how staff is treating things.

What are the chances that this guy suits up for Vols in the fall?
Might suit up, but how effective can he be. Bigger question is how in the world can the staff have any faith in the kid? Need to move on and if, by some miracle, he contributes, it's icing on the cake. No way you plan to have him in the regular rotation.

Judas Priest this post is pathetic and makes you look oblivious while calling someone else a drama queen, drama queen. And no **** you never played football.
Hope people skip most of it except for when you say “I don’t give a **** about Coleman or his issues.” That’s all you needed to post and all posters need to read to know the type of person you are.
Do you think Coleman is concerned with my issues? Your issues? Lol.

I see you’re joining the drama party. Once again, this is 0 to do with his reasoning, which hasn’t been medical as you and others like to falsely paint it. It has everything to do with business, which is what college sports now are. You don’t set a precedent for handing out a 2 mil gift with nothing done for it. Almost seems like a losing business model, right?

We’ve all had challenges in our life. You get past them or you make excuses and don’t. I broke family cycles in my life as anyone can. And I didn’t get paid 2 mil at 20 years old to do so. Abd yes I played plenty of football. About 13 years of it. Certainly not at a D1 level.

Carry on with your bad self. Hope your “mental health” is okay today. If not I’d suppose you’ll call in sick for it. Maybe work will even pay you for no work done. Makes sense, right?

Someone in your bad self can’t be fazed by anything life, or yourself if not already, will have mental issues affecting their family or maybe take their own life and you’ll understand better that money doesn’t matter if a brain is misfiring. Or you won’t. “Get past them or make excuses” is an ignorant take to generalize with everyone. Flat out ignorant and ignorance usually doesn’t fix itself.

So you're saying we should pay someone 2 million that has done 0 for it? Am i hearing you correctly? You and your drama friends have gotten hung up on this “medical condition” when that hasnt been spoken of by any source. That happens to be one of your favorite words, “ignorant”.

Will you come provide me with some free labor at my place of business? Or would that be as “ignorant” as giving someone 2 mil for doing nothing?

All of yall making the excuse "It's a mental health issue". Ask yourselves this. Would your job or your clients pay you for doing nothing because you were having "mental health issues"? Hell no. If he's that bad off he needs to ask out of his contract and go home and quit wasting his and everyone else's time.

I posted this previously.

Here is another famous example of mental health being an actual problem which keeps someone from performing a sport at the very highest level.

The money thing is an nil problem across the board. If you are going to complain about every player who got paid more than they performed, start a thread to cry about it as the list will become long. Start with Nico, add David Sanders as he was hurt most of last year and keep going.
I also have doubts Coleman is sitting on 2M.
You deflect from your statements about not caring about Chaz Coleman or any other player and how you are a tough guy who gets past issues and people either do like you or make excuses and I’m calling you an ignorant fool for those comments and will continue to everytime you respond.

Agreed the money is an issue. And I don’t doubt it a bit. Reports are these kids are getting upfront money. It’s not performance based, so why would you doubt it?

And you keep being ignorant making it personal. It’s not. I’m talking from a business standpoint. Yes, regardless of said issue, which has only been reported as homesick, people like you have created the homesick narrative, these kids shouldn’t get to get paid and then leave with no output. I can tell you do W2 work if you have no issue with this. It’s always easy to spend others money. Think of what else our collective could’ve done with 2 mil besides give it to some kid just to let him ride home with it.

You’ve created a false narrative and now gotten yourself worked up about something that, as reported, doesn’t exist at this time. So yes, as I said, good luck Chaz but if you’re not staying here leave that duffel of cash at Neyland and head on home.

How dare you bring facts to this thread
