Chaz Coleman status?

How many times have we heard “homesick” just to watch the player transfer even further from home?

“I need enough money to buy another home, Coach!”
Rumor is we were coming up short for what was promised (at least from his camp) but it was getting resolved. Not that he was trying to extort us for more.

I went from SoCal to Florida for college. My parents told me you're not coming home until Christmas, so don't call crying about being homesick.
I knew a kid who committed suicide because his parents told him his grades weren't good enough so he should study and work and not to come home for Thanksgiving

I don't know what Chaz Coleman's issues are but trying to tell him to "suck it up" has risks also. There is a large part of life that isn't SEC football and His plan for Chaz may not be football.

The young man is talented enough, hopefully, to miss a little Spring ball and still be an impact player in the Fall. It's not optimal for football but there's a lot more than football in life.

Hey Chaz- sometimes you gotta act like a man!!! I grew up in northern Jersey and drove 750 miles south to attend UT in September of 1975 and didn't know a soul there. Also, I didn't have football coaches coddling to me or amazing training facilities at my fingertips or sumptuous meals prepared for me (Sophies??) or a dorm as nice as The Ritz Carlton to live in (Hess sucked). You have landed in paradise young man so wake up and smell the roses cuz all you'd be smelling back in Ohio or PA right now is snow.

Some people are different Man, mental health is a big issue. Let’s not pile on the kid. Let’s stand behind him and rally.

He can't transfer anyway this year, so he better lock in. Hard to argue about character evaluations given his defensive coordinator literally recruited him here.
he might try something crazy like withdraw and reenroll

I mean I guess he might be homesick but like its not hard for a guy with that much money to hop on a plane and fly home for a few days. When a football player stops going to football practice its almost always about money or some kind of personal issue.

We can’t get out of our own way. At least the DT that transferred here is doing great and seems to be having a good time. Can’t win them all.

Not to downplay the situation but the speed rusher cupboard isn’t totally bare.

Christian Gass is having a strong spring. I think Perlotte and Telander can help here. Not move them full time to speed rusher, from ILB, but let them come in on 3rd and long.
