Watching SEC Title Game,

Commentator reported Chavis saying this,

"I've coached a lot of great defensive tackles at Tennessee, Albert Haynesworth and John Henderson, but I wouldn't take the both of them for sophomores Logan and Brockers."

Is he serious? Haynesworth and Henderson at defensive tackle would be :pepper:

Apparently those guys weren't good enough to stop Mauck from quarterback drawing his way to beating us. Not enough talent for 3rd and Chavis.

I know, Mauck was 5-15 that game.

What really hurt us though in 2001, was 2 turnovers in 2nd half. Stallworth's fumble and I dont remember the other.

But, that's crazy. Those two were collegiate All-Americans and NFL All Pro's.

right now Chavis is being out coached by the UGA offensive staff. UGA up 10-0 and UGA has dropped 2 TDs...could easily be 21-0 right now.

I love how Chavis has the two best cornerbacks in College football and yet he is still backing in to 2 deep coverage and bailing his linebackers out of run defense.

By now he should be familiar with that process.

Def. coach speak.

Chavis is a great coach, no doubt. But he's also a choke artist when it matters.

UGA 2001, LSU 2001, Auburn scoring 29 in 97 forcing Peyton to pull the comeback, allowing FSU's 3rd string QB to score 16pts on us in the NC, getting curb stomped by Braska in 98 Orange Bowl, Auburn not punting once in the 04 SEC title game, allowing UF to score 35pts in the second half in 95 or 96 can't recall and costing us a chance at a NC.

Just sayin

Makes total sense to question this LSU defense. I recon most on here could do better than Chavis, yourself included.:crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy:

every coach talks up their current players. Nothing surprising.

Called being nice to your team.. In his mind he knows Albert and John are better, but he says his DTs are better so he doesn't hear an ear full from the players and coaches..
