As much as third and long sucked sometimes the man really could coach a defense. That 08 team was bad but had an amazing defense. Our 06 and 05 teams both had elite defenses. We did it all in 98 because of the defense

IIRC the 2005 defense was ranked around 12th in the country and that after being hung out to dry by the offense all season. The offense couldn't score at a hookers convention.

2005 could be the year I was referring to. It was the same time where someone @ the tournament told Chief that Hightower was going to Bama. I don’t know what yr that was….. man I’m getting old. I think Hightower was from Southern Middle area.

I saw Hightower play in hs. He was outstanding as a soph but not very impressive as a jr. Then he committed to Bama and was a stud as a senior (I guess he got the message).
