Just throwing out a few questions......every thing seems to be geared toward the coaches, Ainge and the UT offensive line..........

What about the defense?

1.) Do you think the defense was too aggressive or conservative?

2.) Do you think the defense did not disguise their formation(s)?
*The announcers on TV were pointing out what defense Tennessee was in and indicated where the blitz was coming from.

3.) Do you think Chavis lines up his formation and lets you know what is coming and forces you to beat him straight up?

4.) Do you think there where too many missed tackles?

5.) Considering the injuries in the secondary, overall do you think they played well as a unit?

6.) Did the defensive line put enough pressure on the qb and offensive line?
*Consider how many times there were only 3 down lineman.

7.) Did the linebackers play in position or over run the ball?

8.) Gang tackling, was there, or was there not enough tacklers around the ball?

i was at the game. the sad fact is that midway through the 3rd quarter they ran out of gas. they looked slow and got very little pressure on leak. they just plain had nothing left.

I know some say time of posession does not matter, but your argument is that the defense was out on the field to long and ran out of gas?

i don't know if they were out on the field to long or what. i do know midway through the third quarter there offensive line blew our defensive line off the ball. they were picking up between 5 and 8 yards a pop. the line backers could not get off the blockers and the cb's had problems tackling. it happened the rest of the game. i don't know if that roughing crap call shook there confidence or if they just plain ran out of gas, but they were on the field for a long time, that tends to happen when your offense can't move the ball.

To me it looked like the secondary was out of position too many times. Specifically running past the ball.

Another thing that bothered me was the lack of gang tackling. I do not recall seeing that many orange jersey's around the ball after it was caught or against the run.

The D was on the field way too long. Look at the stats for our running backs. -11 total yards. Outside of Ainge & receivers not much O. So, the D is on the field. They did run out of gas.

I've not lost hope. We've had some tough games and many guys were injured. We need to get well and re-group re Marshall. Then move on with the SEC Games. Wait and see how things develop in the SEC--it's not over yet.

in the first half they swarmed to the ball pretty good. the second they knew they were going to run the ball when they brought tebow in and they just couldn't stop it. it was sad.

Yeah, the Tebow quarterback draws were painful, especially the quarterback draw out of the shotgun!

Oh, believe me I am used to working out the scenario's for Tennessee to win the East.

If, if, if, Tennessee takes care of business, at the very least we need Florida to have 2 SEC losses.

I'm much more worried about LSU than UGA--Georgia has a good defense but I'm not sold on their O.

IMHO, UF has two SEC losses in the horizon in the form of Auburn and LSU. But I don't see us beating both UGA and LSU, so things aren't looking good...

LSU is going to be tough, but hey we beat them last year.

Why does everyone look at Georgia's team like they are so amazing? I haven't seen anything from them that blows me away.

Outside of our receivers and quarterback, we might be in big trouble. I haven't read much on the board yet (been out of pocket for a couple days), but I fully expect to see some people bashing Ainge for his two interceptions. I hope not, because that kid played his heart out last night. Our offensive line was horrible. Which made our running backs horrible and made Ainge scramble for his life all night.

I can't believe we didn't bring that one home.

I can see that. I cannot see us going 7-1 in conference after starting out with a loss.

Our defensive ends got whipped time after time. Xavier Mitchell made a few plays. But more often than not he got knocked off the football. Mcbride made a few plays but he had to move inside when harrell was out and Mcgouthlin just got whipped all night. Mappu needs to step his game up. We need him to be the player he was before he left. They ran the ball down our throats.

The thing about this game is Chavis didn't really change up the scheme much like he seemed to do in past Florida games which he had success with. Why? Maybe it was the personel. I don't know. I am not going to question him. He's a hell of a coach.

Where is Walter Fisher? We need to start giving some of these young guys a chance. If we don't find some depth on the D-line. We could be in trouble. Espeically with Harrell gone.

Arc, I agree completely. We were limited in personelle and then made it even tougher on the D by keeping them on the field all night.

And the season is still far from over.
