He plays too high but it looks like he has a mean streak...which is what we need on either side of the ball.

I'm optimistic based off his raw size and potential. Although, I do always get a kick out of the anti-star brigade trying to expertly describe, from what they see on the kid's own highlight tape, why he's the next Gronkowski-like hidden gem.

This guy does not seem football savy to me. He has size, which you can't coach, so that's good, but he doesn't seem like he knows what he is doing out there. Just sort of stands up and waits for things to happen around him.

Glad to get a TE but from the highlights I don't see a lot of speed or athleticism. Seems to block pretty well but most plays on offense he seems to start out at about a 1/4 speed and slowly moves along to block someone half his size.
Would love to have seen some explosiveness on either side of the ball.

It would be nice to get players that are already good at football rather than hoping a guy has the ability to be coached up. Just saying. I am not going to go crazy over this commit because he seems quite raw at the moment. We'll see in two years or so I guess.

Do we even have one player in this class that could play, like, i dunno....next year maybe?

Paul Harris seems like a maybe if we lose some receivers. But any others? I dont think so.

I don't look at the star system enough to know what type of rankings they give TE's. It's a weird position anyway. Would be hard to see a HS te and predict his performance in the SEC. We got a 4 star last year, that got hurt and hasn't played a down, and cam clear, was highly rated, and his best asset was his speaker selection.

Teague was a 4 star, iirc. So was Cam Clear at the TE position. Our most dependable TE right now is the Downs kid.
