I will be setting a remote office and I can definitely get Uverse. However, Charter was certain I was "serviceable" but will confirm that after they come out. I figured this would be the best forum to post this question...

Anyone here had both with an opinion, and/or one of the two that they hate or love? Thoughts?

I have Uverse: TV is really good. Internet is okay, I have one of the higher mbps and it is kind of slow during peak hours. I also have my gaming systems hooked up directly by Ethernet. Not sure how good charter internet is but I might bypass the uverse internet.

Charter internet is great. Never had a problem with it. The problem with Charter is: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, and they never stop raising their rates.

Depends on if you are going to be using it for gaming or just normal everyday use internet. If its for gaming or heavy streaming, Charter is the only choice between the two IMO.

Yep. The suck in new customers with actual good deals. But it only lasts a year. Your bill will go from $100, to $120, $135, $150. Then you call and threaten to switch to Dish and they knock off 20 bucks a month. Rinse and repeat.

But yes, the internet is on point. I just showed 34mbps on my speedtest.net app.

according to my speed test, i have 5.54 down & 0.54 up. That sound's bad...

No, I got the same thing at home. Lovely AT&T DSL.... It is all I can get where I live. It does it's job OK. However, if my daughter starts streaming Netflix and/or Youtube, everything else suffers.

Sad thing is, U-Verse literally stops/deadends at our road (junction box is a foot from our property) and they will not connect us. I have bugged the hell out of them with no success.

They told me it would overload that circuit and the other customers would suffer. I politely told him I didn't care about the other customer, that mainly use it to sign-on to their aol.com account to check their email. I need it for work and play :)
