Great actor, big time conservative, and overall a great human being... he will be missed.

Ben Hurr was a film that was easily 10-20 years ahead of it's time.

I think this will resurface the gun rights issue politically in the near future, considering the upcoming election. It might pose as a future platform for the incoming President whoever he may be.

I thought this was an unusually classy move by Moore.

Even Michael Moore, who mocked Heston in his gun-control documentary "Bowling for Columbine," posted the actor's picture on his Web site to mark his passing.
Moore's Web site, Welcome to MichaelMoore.com, on Sunday featured a photo of Heston, the date of his birth and death and a note from the actor's family requesting that donations be made to the Motion Picture and Television Fund in lieu of flowers

I'll probably always recall Heston on gamedays against Bama of Florida because of his line I like to quote from Ben Hur. Just before the race he says forcefully to his arch enemy..... ''Yes! This IS the day!

"take your stinking paws off of me...you damn dirty ape"

It's people! Soylent Green is people.

If I had the money, I'd smoke two or three of these a week (line from Soylent Green - cigarettes are in short supply).
