Shoop has top notch Defensive Stats prior to joining Butch. I've heard that Butch made him run his defense a certain way. If Leach was Head Coach, I think he'd focus on the Offensive schemes and allow Shoop to do his own thing again on D. I still think Shoop is a really good DC, he just needs a yr with no restrictions to prove it. And Charleton Warren is very solid. Solid recruiter, and solid teacher. I was nervous about our young secondary this yr without Sutton, but Warren coached our young guys up, and the secondary ended up being one of our statistically strongest units. Gotta try to keep Warren. But Leach would be solid overall in the SEC. He's no rookie. Very smart football mind. Shoop deserves 1 yr under Leach to prove himself. If his Defense doesn't handle their bizz, and rank in the Top#25 nationally, then ur right, Shoop will need to go. I'd give him a yr to prove his worth tho first if we hire Leach

Me too. I’ll be done. Ive loved Tennessee all my life, but guys it’s just getting to be more than I can take. If he trots out Schiano, or Leach, I guess I’ll just walk on down the road.

Shoop can go as well. Clear the house of the stench we've seen all season. We are rock bottom, so replace every damn one of them. That means players will leave as well, so be it.

2. Articles from 247, SDS, KNS, etc, right out of the gate on what did he know.
3. You think Butch was easy to recruit against this year? True or not, just imagine how easy that would be for our competitors. "you're going to let your son go play for a coach that knew and did nothing about the PSU travesty?" No need for us to take on that circus.

I don’t see Schiano due to the allegations of his time at PSU. Whether they are true or not, he will not fit in Currie’s requirements.

There's more baggage than PSU. Peyton cursed him for trying to take knees out during the game ending kneeling plays. Did it with Eli too.

His(Schiano`s) players didn't like him very well either. Said there were guys on the other teams that they were friends with, and hated every minute of it.

If Peyton has any say whatsoever, Schiano will not be our next coach.

I'm packing it in if it is Schiano another five years of mediocrity is something I don't care to ever go through again. Butch has a couple good years even though they were tainted by Vandy loss.

If Schiano is picked,then we need to have Sandusky as DC.Schiano,no good at Tampa Bay,with personality clashes with players and public.Lousy record,a perfect Mike Hamilton/Halsam hire.Leach,Frost,Brohm,Peterson,Gruden.Make each one of them say No to UT before moving on.Rumors of Gruden with 10 million per and 8 million for staff with Tee as head recruiter/head coach -in - waiting would be the big orange dream.Jason Swain as receivers coach(past captain/VFL)would work also.

I think we are screwed. No legit coach would ever consider coming to this dumpster fire now. If this school is that illustrious of a job then why does no one want to come coach here? We settled for Dooley. We settled for Jones and now we are settling again because the big name coaches won't come here. 3 hires in a row, let's face reality. UT is not the place good coaches want to come to no matter how the fan base wants to color it.
