Changes this week?

My guess is that we will have the best practice of the season....again....probably next Tuesday.
best practice in Ten years...since the 98 team, which just happened to win the NC game. btw....in case we ungrateful fans have forgotten how far the great phillip fulmer has brought us.

Nothing was going to be said until after the 5th game was lost. Fulmer will have to make a statement about his future this week.

do you really think????? All I heard tonight was Hambone saying that he looks at the ENTIRE resume of a caoch before he makes a decision.

I believe he announces within the next 48 hours. Ask me no questions, and I won't get flamed.

Here is what will happen:
-Fulmer will not step down, but it will be rumored that a loss to SC will be the final straw.
-Next, we lose to SC next Saturday, and Fulmer will evaluate the film and work like heck in practice.
-Again, no changes will take place, and we will destroy an awful Wyoming team.
-Then we lose to Vandy, and everyone calls for Fulmer's head.
-Again, no changes take place.
-We then beat a weak Kentucky team, barely, and after finishing 5-6, Fulmer still is here in order to keep recruits.

Fulmer said he had a lot on his mind this week. Im not trying to read into this but that is a very cryptic statement to make.

And IMO deservedly so... Fulmer needs to go as weel, but a strong OC, ala Cut can neutrilize Fulmer, clawson hasn't had a clue since he was on the sidelines at Richmond.
Clawson definitely cant overcome a lack of intensity on the sideline.
The defense even went flat after the offense was stalemated.
Just sad.

defense was tired. hard to stay fresh when your offense goes 3 and out all the time.

Fulmer is stepping down on Monday per friend of Mike Hamilton that I tailgated with. He will become the assistant AD after this season.

You may be right. I do however have doubts about Hamilton telling people his intentions unless they are the big boosters.

i dont really know this guy too well but we always talk before every game. He is a retired engineer that lives in myrtle beach and has gone to every home and away game this year so i think he is a big donor

I find it hard to believe Fulmer would accept another position within the Athletic department. He has made no secret that Vickie wants him to take it easy. Let's be honest, the man is not in the greatest health position and this is making it much worse.

I'm expecting a lot of disagreement -- but the difference is Ainge. We didn't actually run the ball that well last year either -- Ainge was just excellent at checking off at the line, ran a no-huddle, and dumped the ball quickly. He made the O line look good.

AGREED!! by the way though, we had a guy named Cutcliffe on the sidelines!:hmm:

It's time to clean house ENTIRELY! I was embarrased to call my self a Vol fan last night after watching that bunch of crap on offense! Clawson needs to go now...and everyone else at seasons end. That "new" offense absoultely sucks! I could find a high school coach that could get more points outof our offense right now...GUARANTEED!
