Probably good to see what those guys can do this week and get them more reps. It's definitely better than throwing them out there for their first start against UF. I know the athletic competition won't be that great, but you will be able to clean up all the alignment/communication mistakes they will make.

When you were a starter and you're no longer a starter....... what are you called?
being benched to me means not playing at all. If you’re rotated in but not a starter, you are not benched. You may have moved to 2nd string or B team or whatever, but you are still a major contributor and therefore can not be considered benched imo.

YMMV, but everyone I've ever known who was a starter and then wasn't a starter was said to have been benched.

I'm not gonna argue semantics but we've all heard it: "Why isn't XXX starting? He got benched and YYY is starting now."

It just is what it is.
