There was a lot that went wrong Saturday on the offensive side of the ball. Our QB play was terrible and the RBs/Oline all had bad games. But what did you guys think? Personally, I didn’t think our OC was on his game. The players didn’t looked prepared, it didn’t look like the game plan was very good, nor were the adjustments. Ive called plays before and admit, sometimes you can’t do anything right. But how in the world were screens and draws not part of the plan playing against that defense. How come backs were running routes and not staying in to block more? It’s simple math that when the defense brings 6 guys, a back needs to stay and protect. I think Chaney needs just as much blame placed on him as anybody for what happened Saturday.

Chaney is 58 years old with no desire to be a HC, and UT will have paid him $4.8 million dollars by the end of 2021 when his contract expires.

I would not be surprised if he decided to retire at that point since he's going to turn 60 at the beginning of 2022.

With the running game not working I'd like to seen some quick throws to the RBs out of the backfield.....use it like a running play...Maybe some toss sweeps...screens. Make the defense play sideline to sideline. I thought it was a very vanilla game plan. Sometimes when you are out manned you got to be creative.

It was pedestrian in all 3 of these........

Chaney is pedestrian. His offenses aren't dynamic. They are predictable. They rely on as close as possible to perfect execution to be effective. When his plays get stuffed, he has no answer. That's his MO. He isn't near the play caller Cut was, and can't about sniff the region of little Spurrier or Kiffen. He ain't going anywhere either. No one else will pay to take him away, he doesn't want to go and Pruitt won't run him off. I like Chaney, I just know he needs a head coach that will push him outside of his comfort zone and Pruitt isn't gonna be that guy.

Thought it was really poor play calling. Not an expert that can tell how much JGs ceiling is handcuffing him. GA lost most of their OL and are playing a walk on QB. The offense looked much more sophisticated/ unpredictable then ours did. Honestly looking forward to Chaney/ Friend /Weinke being gone and hope we have an OC who is a QB developer.

I heard a great quote from a friend today. He said “JP has 2-3 years to find an innovative, cutting edge OC, or he will be replaced by one”. After watching what Kiffin did for Bamas O, I’m not sure why he can’t just let go.

In Chaneys defense, he was at the snack machine most of the game, and it can be a real struggle to decide between the honeybun and hot fries sometimes.
In all seriousness, and not trying to fat shame him, but he REALLY needs to lose some weight. The man is a walking heart attack waiting to happen.

It’s difficult or impossible to do anything on offense if the players don’t block the defense regardless of the play that is called.

In addition to general health, I don’t think he’d do so well if he got the Rona.

Chaney gets too pass happy sometimes, and he wants to "trick" people on 3rd and short when a simple screen, rollout pass, QB keeper, etc. would suffice
