The SEC is always tough so I'm wondering if we will get to 5 or 6 W's in conference, but what about overall are we gonna be good enough to reach 8 possibly 10

8=very possible
10=not a chance in hell(maybe if our west schedule wasnt so tough)

7. it will take a big upset to get to 8. 4 non con wins, vandy, ky, ga. after that it would be a big upset. maybe carolina at home.

I expect us to go 6-2 at home at the very LEAST, with UGA and LSU being very beatable. I am not on the LSU bandwagon.

If we manage to go undefeated at home, we should win 9 games at a minimum. If we get on a roll, 10 wins is possible.

A co-worker told me this morning that Tennessee is the 4th most likely team with a second year coach to win it all this year according to a radio segment he heard. I wish I could remember who he was listening to when he heard this.

If we win less than eight games though, I'm going to be very disappointed in this team.

i think people need to keep in mind that the promising talent on offense is still very young and very unproven.

in addition, you are going to need a few blindfolds when the defense takes the field. this is not a conference where you want to have a suspect defense.

add to that an inability to win on the road and personnel who have never won a meaningful game at the college level......

and it would be a tremendous accomplishment to win 8 games.

might get to 8 with a bowl win

I think if we put on a show against Montana and Cinci and beat UF @ The Swamp we have the potential to win 8 possibly 9 with S.Carolina and LSU at home.

Anything less than 7 regular season wins would be incredibly disappointing. Even 7 would be underwhelming. I'm hoping for at least 8 regular season wins.

If we don't get at least 8 wins (in the regular season) this year, ill be dissapointed. We've got the talent to do it.

70% or something of the team are freshman and sophomores

I really still think 6 to 7, 8 is really the more likely ceiling......10 would take an absolute miracle

My sentiments exactly...I think 7, but 8 is not un obtainable...If however, we go 6 wins, all is not lost.

If Tennessee goes 6-6 I'm really not sure why anyone would still believe Dooley is going to be successful here. I'm not saying he should be fired if Tennessee goes 6-6 this year, but there won't really be much reason for optimism, IMO.

I see 8, 4 non conf., then Vandy, Kentucky, Georgia, and then either Florida, Arkansas, Carolina, or bowl

I will only get behind what you are saying if we happen to lose 2 more games in the final stretch like we did with LSU and UNC. I am willing to give Dooley 3 years even if that occurs.

As I said, I don't think Dooley should be fired if Tennessee goes 6-6. I just think it would be an awful sign.
