So we fire a coach that has improved win total every year and dominated two bowl games, for a guy who hasnt reached a bowl at the best coaching job in the country in 2 years? Sounds like a great idea

I am not in the Fire Butch crowd, but I think it is possible he leaves on his own. If he does, I think Strong is worth considering.

From the sky, you're right. But that view is without context. This year and last should have been 10 win regular seasons minimum. On a chart, Butch is trending up. But the chart doesn't show how or why he is at that trend line.

Butch Jones is trending up. Thats all.
If player development was were it should be we would have won a couple more games last year and maybe one more this year. Oh well, stuff happens, even to the best coaches around. Doesnt mean the guy cant or shouldnt be afforded the opportunity to get it there.

Good coaches don't throw away games in the fashion Butch has. Yes good coaches lose some games they shouldn't. However, Butch has made plenty of mistakes to keep us from a SEC title as well as a playoff spot. Good coaches just don't do that. Excuse us for not being happy with a guy who has given away an easy division while be the worst division in hits history.

Worse division in its history? Went through this already, more winning records in east than nearly anytime Tennessee was in its glory days of the 90s. And as I ask everyone that brings up such nonsense, who ya got?

Win total isn't going up this year. Your argument is gone.

But, no, Strong is not the answer here. We dodged that bullet and took a slightly less lethal bullet.
