CFP rankings- so weird

How did Tennessee get “embarrassed” by the three losses. Missed beating UGA by a missed fg. Lost to OK by 6. Not sure how that’s embarrassing. Lost to Alabama on the road. Not embarrassing.

Exactly. Having 3 losses sucks...but having 3 losses ALL to top10 teams including the highest ranked loss being in OT only due to Gilberts clutchless azz missing a 42yd FG is nothing to be "embarrassed" about...

In fact the opposite is true. Just 1 made FG by Gilbert OR we manage a TD on just 1 of those 3 drives in the first half where we turned the ball over vs OK and we would be in the playoffs right now. Thats the hard part. Negavols suck. Period. We have an absolutely LOADED class signing on Wed full of NFL players. Best class in at least 20 years. We are in great shape and lucky to have CJH and staff.

Lil reminder of this incredible class:

ND and Oregon would not have any quality wins if not for overrated USC…
My conspiracy theory is that USC is rated where they are to help ND's rank. USC lost to unranked Illinois. And, they moved UP in the polls the week after losing by 15 to Oregon. Had they moved down in the polls after the loss, ND would have had 0 quality wins (Pitt can't be considered a quality win because they lost to pathetic WVa and Louisville0.

And if not for the pick 6 at Alabama it would have been a 1 score game

doesn't matter but It's disgusting that Virginia is ahead of us. Losses to NC State and Wake Forest at home. Zero quality wins
We would eat Virginia's lunch. As for the rest of them, I really don't see much of a path through any of that lot, although I would love to get a crack at Notre Dame. They're right up there with Florida in my "MOST HATED TEAMS".

the SEC is brutal now

Look at all the teams in the SEC and see how a couple of plays could have flipped 3-4 games... here are our CFP hopefuls..

UGA had 4 games that could have flipped.
A&M had 4 games that could have flipped.
Bama had 4 games that could have flipped...
Ole Miss had 5 or 6 that could have flipped...
Tennessee had 4 games that could have flipped.
Vandy had 4 games that could have flipped....
Oklahoma had 4 games that could have flipped..
Texas had 6 games that could have flipped..

and it will be worse next year... just a couple of bounces of the FB could determine if you make the playoffs or go to a crappy bowl game

Its disgusting that TA&M was ranked 3 with such a trash schedule. Then maybe Texas wouldn't be arguing that they deserve a berth in the playoffs.

TA&M's schedule was a joke.

Yeah, it was mathematically done with Utah. Texas was just another bullet in the corpse...
Honestly, it was mathematically done before Utah. Part of the whole "scenario" required the committee to drop a 1-loss team behind 3-loss Tennessee for losing a 2nd game...which was asking for alot from the committee.

I think they would have dropped BYU had they lost to a bad UCF team...

All moot now...
