CFP NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: OHIO STATE vs NOTRE DAME Jan 20 7:30 ESPN

I don't think anyone can assert either team will have not earned it:
Notre Dame beat Indiana, Georgia, and PSU
Ohio beat Tennessee, Oregon, and Texas

Good resumes for both. Just need to fix the automatic bye weirdness. Give the top 4 teams a bye, regardless of conference championships, and be done with it.

Eh, I am not sold on ND. Indiana phfffff. PSU, meh. They beat GA after just losing Beck and when they were down in a down year for them.

OSU, much as I hate to admit it, absolutely earns it big time with the gauntlet they have gone through.

Seeing OSUs play makes it much clearer why we struggled. Yes, we did not play to our ability but also, OSU was just really really good.

Im good with that. No such thing as a good loser. Sometimes you gotta let that passion out a bit. What worries me more is when you dont see that kind of disappointment and rage in a team that lost.

You look at Day after Michigan waxed OSU and you would have thought someone in his family died. Then they came back with a rage to win (unfortunately against us).

Never want to see a team take a loss well. That is for losers.

If Ohio State wins the National Championship, they had one tough route to it. Played a tough Tennessee team, then the number 1 team in the Country, Oregon and then a very good tough defense team, Texas. Now, another good defensive team in ND! That is how it is supposed to be!
Really think yall roll them if you clean up the penalties. Ohio state can beat themselves.

Same. You demonstrate sportsmanship on the field but being pissed afterwards I’m absolutely fine with.

I’ve watched all of these playoff games so far and maybe it’s just lack of execution but our offense looks stone age compared to these other teams. These other teams appear to run multiple sets and plays. Guys getting separation having a step on the DBs.
I love how you never see three deep safeties ever by either defense when Tennessee isn't playing. That has to be addressed this off-season. When we can get either single safety or the two high look we have made plays and had plays there that we missed because of our own mistakes. However, we should be able to run people out of three defensive linemen and five defensive backs. We did ease by UF & UA, but we were not successful enough in the 3 losses.

I’m just glad none of the other SEC teams are in it since UT lost. Also saw something about how much money ND takes home since they aren’t in a conference. Not sure if that’s true or not.

IMO, Ohio State is the better team by a fairly significant margin, but ND's defense is legit. I think it should be a close game, but I don't think ND has the horses on offense to keep up Ohio State should Ohio St go up early by 14 points.

If Ohio State starts fast and gets up early it will be over .

It will depend on how Ohio State calls the game. Texas did a good job on Smith and keeping him covered by 2-3 players all game long. But, we do have other weapons, and if we don't have self-inflicted wounds (stupid penalties) we should be okay, Notre Dame has a good defense will play hard. I hope get back to how we played vs Tennessee and Oregon.

I think part of the reason why Texas was able to slow you down was that they kept everything in front of them. They had 2 games of film of Ohio State blowing Us and Oregon out and decided they were going not going to get beat over the top. I’m guessing Notre Dame will do something similar. If you guys start quick and get up by 2 scores in the first 10 minutes I don’t see them keeping up. Penn State could’ve and should’ve done that, but they didn’t execute. I’m guessing Buckeyes by 17

I will be pulling for ND, and it’s honestly just because I’ve realized that I like Freeman. He seems like a very good coach, and possibly an even better person. Also, I just can’t stand Ohio State.

Although, my worry is that Freeman and ND win, and then at some point, possibly soon, in the future, Marcus Freeman ends up the HC of Ohio State. I really like Freeman, I just don’t want to see him at Ohio State. That could spell very real trouble for the rest of us.
