CBS: SEC Announced Attendance Guidelines and Mask Guidelines

All the people judging on both sides seem silly to me. I guess I shouldn't have gone to war. That was an unnecessary risk. This is the land of the free. If you want everything locked down, then stay home, and it's locked down for you. If you are on the other side and need to go somewhere that the vast majority of the population has to go, like a grocery store, then wear a mask for 30 minutes to show consideration. Thats my opinion. Take that and rub 2 quarters together and you'll have 50 cents.

You hit the nail on teh head in my opinion. I've stated several time to friends and acquanitances people in the US are free. Avoiding masks and not social distancing are going to be more common among free people exercising their freedoms. It's just the way it is. Stay home if you want to avoid all risks but quit the incessant whining about what free people do as long as it's not violating a law. Make a law the bulk of the people don't agree with and they'll violate it with impunity so making mask use a law is useless. See the 55 mph speed limit and alcohol prohibition in the US as my examples.

Also, my wife is a healthy 44 year old former Razorback cheerleader who had COVID back in March, and after recovering and testing negative continued to have shortness of breath and chest tightening for a month. She couldn’t make it up the stairs for weeks.

But carry on with your “this is all bullish!t“ nonsense.

Hopefully she has made a full recovery. But using outliers is shoddy. You should know by now who is the most vulnerable and at risk. This whole thing about everybody wearing masks and staying away from everyone else is BS.

My philosophy is simple .. stay at least 6’ away from me and neither of us will have to worry about the other wearing a mask . If you don’t then it’s on you not me , I still promise I won’t cough or spit on you unless you get in my face crying about me not having a mask on .

No it’s not. It’s a reasonable precaution when going into environments where you might encounter a vulnerable citizen

That sounds good in theory, but it's not nearly that simple. You don't know anything about the majority of people with whom you come into contact on an average day. You don't know who might be caring for someone who is vulnerable and at risk. That person may be taking every practical step to limit his exposure, but he can't account for the steps that you're not taking.

I hope that your area doesn’t go through what mine has for the past month or so. We’re cooling off now, but what seemed like an “outlier” back in June became a little too common for comfort in July. I won’t tell you to wear a mask, but please do yourself a favor and give a little thought to how you’re doing things.

I am not sick. Therefore I am not spreading anything. If I even felt the slightest bit ill I would stay inside. There isn’t a valid reason for me to wear a mask.

Yes there's a valid reason to wear a mask, unless you're tested each day to prove negative you're putting other's at risk and other's are wearing their masks to protect you, in case they're asymptomatic and carrying . My husband had food poisoning and a test was immediately done on him due to fever and other symptoms- it was negative and told if symptoms persisted, to get back in touch with his doctor.... none did and it ended up being gastrointestinal ....

Please don't be stupid or careless and think you aren't sick or spreading anything as it can happen at the blink of an eye and be deadly especially to those that have other health issues or over age 44... Sorry I was in the medical profession and have the highest respect for guidelines and etc, my problem are with people that don't think "they're sick or spreading anything"..... You start to feel ill, contact your Doctor and get yourself tested!!

Sorry but I disagree. I listen to my best friend who is a board certified infectious disease specialist.

Has your best friend guaranteed your safety and you haven't answered, "Have you been tested"? Does your best friend wear a mask, protecting themselves & family? I am NOT sorry for how I feel due to my age and flat out respect for other's... freedom is one thing but being sensible is another....

Is self righteousness a third thing?

There is no reason for me to get tested as I have zero symptoms. I asked him should I get tested and his response was, so you have any symptoms? I said no, he said then there is no reason to get tested.

He wears a mask because he is forced to. He only wears one at work. He and his other colleagues don’t wear them in public. Why? They aren’t sick. Stop worrying and just live.

I'm not any kind of infectious disease specialist. Even acknowledging my lack of expertise, I can tell you, without a shred of doubt, that you've been given bad advice.

I'm no expert either but wow just wow and unreal for supposedly infectious professionals to not protect themselves and others while out in public- Freak will ban me if I go on with my feelings about his/her employer.. Unreal...

Perhaps the opportunity to test the masses us upon entry into Neyland Stadium each and every game. After the first game, the results would be issued and follow up testing would generate some interesting statistics on a large gathering experiment. Just a thought.
