CBS Doesn't Mention The VOLS

I do not take Mizzou for granted. If their O-line is half a rasher of bacon, they're going to be trouble.

There's trouble, trouble next to the broad Missouri. Trouble that starts with T, which rhymes with P, and that means PLAY BALL!

I think as a fan base we shouldn’t take anyone for granted. Until we get back to hanging 50 on schools like Kentucky, Vandy and USC no reason to feel overconfident.

I do think we have a better than expected season with 7 wins

Wins are like money. When you got plenty-you got plenty of friends and the fun never ends...

That is the truth. I have been reading a bunch on this site about the quality of coaching staffs at various schools, mostly UT’s obviously. It made me wonder, if any poster took the time to study the staffs at each school in the East and gave an honest ranking on the overall quality of said staffs how it would shake out.

Just curious. SC has been in the SEC about 25 years now, how many times has UT hung 50 on them in those 25 years? Maybe a better question, in the past 15 years, how many times?

( Here is a hint, UT did it in 93 and 95 when USC had just entered the SEC, hasn’t happened since. And in past 13 years UT has a losing record vs SC)

I know right? It’s all your “bad coaches/hires faults”. Here is a nugget, coaching hires are a big part of a program’s direction. The CFB landscape has changed dramatically in the past 15 years. Keep whining and insulting teams that are progressing and trying to keep up with the changes. The old days are gone. “Get busy living or get busy dieing”.

A bunch around here sound like trust fund babies once the funds have run out. No more entitlements, get to work. 0-8 wakes most people up to reality. The days of UT raiding the Carolina’s for their best players like Haynesworth are long gone. Hell, Clemson and SC have started raiding UT for talent. It’s a new world, evolve with it and quit thinking the days of “hanging 50” on other schools is a god given right. You have losing streaks vs all those teams you mentioned. And UGA, UF and SC aren’t going to lay down so UT can sit on the perch again. “It’ll be a hard fight out from here” literally every year for every team.

The answer is Geographics and comparable revenue and facilities these days btw. UT does not sit in a favorable geographical recruiting location compared to many of its competitors and it no longer has the overwhelming facilities advantages (SEC money) it once had. Most schools are on equal footing now. UT is using its history as a calling card but like Nebraska for instance, it is finding that is not enough. It’s a new era folks.

Begin the air raid, I can take it but I spoke the truth.

Don't read too much into this stuff.

They listed Florida as overrated and underrated.

The guy who wrote the "overrated" piece had Florida finishing second in the East.

So, you figure it out.
