I concur. He was going to be the Dan Marino of our generation if he didn't beat the Pats and win the Super Bowl. I never thought he was going to do it, but was really happy to see him make that turn.

Florida beat us too many times under his watch and that set him back in terms of national prominence. Thank God for Tee Martin!

shouldn't you be more thankful for Clausen since he had more wins over UF than Tee (and on the road)?

Yeah...but Tee got us over that 4 year hump and won the big dance. Clausen was just money on the road. Big mouth, but he had huevos of steel on the opponent's home turf.

As far as I can remember, yes it has always been the 3:30 game on CBS and I don't expect it will be any different this year. I don't think CBS does a primetime game (could be mistaken though). Usually those games are on other networks of the ESPN family.

last time i remember not being 3:30 was when wilhoit hit a 49-yard game winning field goal

I am really looking forward to this game... most Gators think LSU is our toughest SEC game this year (on the road, etc), but, while I don't think we will be over confident, and while I don't think we will lose, I don't think we will destroy Tenn either... should be a great game, as long as both teams are relatively injury free, and both teams come to play and leave it all out on the field

There's never a lack of motivation for either team.
and that is what makes it a great rivalry... I think we catch a break the game is in the swamp this year, with Tebow still at the helm...but after that, should get real interesting!

The original kickoff was scheduled for 3:30 on Sept. 15. TENNESSEE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE - Football

The rescheduled game kicked off at 4:30, which in December was basically a night game. TENNESSEE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE - Football

This is correct. Not an official primetime game, but about half the game was under the lights and it finished around 8 if i remember correctly.

The last non 3:30 game was in 2006 in Knoxville.

I agree you guys have the upper hand and that it will be a real slobberknocker game. Can't wait.

Ainge played well enough to win that game for us. Like it was mentioned earlier if that pick 6 isn't called back that's one in the books for the Volunteers. If you think about it though every year there is a bad call that goes against the other team and changes the game. Hopefully if it happens this year it will be a break for the good guys =)

Yeah, but if you ask Florida fans, it all worked out in the end b/c they had a TD called back on a questionable block in the back penalty. At least that one was close, there was kind of a block in the back, the roughing call was just pure b.s.

Oh they have something to say about every call that don't go their way. I think we have been screwed more times than they have when it comes to bad calls

A florida fan at my office swears that UF got hosed in 1998 on some bad call related to a kickoff return---he tells me about whenever I see him. Their fans whine about every loss.

There's always a reason they lose to us, we are never the better team, just ask most of them they will tell you...Not all of them are like that though, you can say it for every fan base...don't let a few rotten ones ruin for the whole bunch

I'm just hoping that this new staff is aware of how fast the Gators like to start fast and get a big lead early for momentum, then go thug and start yakkin... testing the hometown ref's tolerence and to intimdate. I hope CLK has a contingency plan for that, cause it's as much a regular in the way things go as Verne's attempts at being clever.

I like CBS coverage but surely there were 2 guys out there better those to numb nutted fools...I think Kiffin already has something up his sleeve for the UF game we will just have to wait and see what it is though

Kiffin needs to come up with something big. UF will get all the calls from the refs, as usual.
