I think CBJ and majority of his Cincy staff guys don't know much about the SEC and even know how hard SEC recruiting is.
I don't think the staff didn't try to recruit, I don't think they know how to recruit in the SEC. I believe recruiting in SEC is more negative than positive regarding what they say to players. Majority of SEC schools are the same..the difference is the actual coaches. Our opponents probably told recruits that CBJ is over his head exactly like Dooley was. And CBJ's pitch was probably more "Tennessee is a great school, tradition, facilities, bla bla bla" ... The kids growing up in SEC get it. To other kids, that could be a bigger deal but CBJ needs to say more negative about coaches IMO. But he can't because majority of this staff doesn't know the playground yet. Thigpen probably didn't care. Was just happy to secure a job.

This. He should be fired for not signing a top 15 class in little over a month after dooley should no interest in the kids. Since it's been a rough day this was obviously sarcasm

Yes, it's been a tough few years, Yes, Dooley was over his head.

I believe CBJ will be great, but constant bashing of this staff will lead to another dismal 3 - 4 years.

Butch had a chance to improve my opinion but he has done nothing to hurt it. Short fuse for him this year regarding fixing the recruiting snafu. Time to buckle down and coach up who you got better than the last Leonard's loser who had the job.

I'm sure Butch isn't a choir boy when he recruits..none probably are and a fair share of mud is thrown I'm sure. Winning cures all. Even with all of Alabama's past, do you think "talking" about Nick Saban sways a recruits decision? Nope. He just flashes those national championships.

Fine, let him take his ignorant loser no-recruiting ass somewhere else to learn. We freakin' don't have time for his learning curve.

We need a freakin' coach who can recruit in the SEC

NOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW !!!

Graham, Thigpen, Martinez, and Azziani(I think that's how it's spelled) have all recruited in the SEC at USC, Aub, UGA, and Florida. I guess they know nothing. Urban Meyer recruited where before he got to Florida again? Saban recruited in the Big Ten before LSU. I hope some of you realize how hard it is to recruit for two months trying to flip a kid compared to the years another staff has into a kid. Ridiculous.............

Not trying to bash CBJ. I only wanted to point out that I feel like the reason why missed out on kids is because the majority of our staff don't know the SEC or are not power recruiters and haven't had time to build relationships in SEC country.
Kiffin was an outstanding dirty recruiter. But I think it's because we had Orgeron and some other staffers that recruited well. And Urban was still at FL.

Haha fire them all! Start over again! Pay more buyouts and throw 80 million at someone. Yes, that's the solution!
