Casey Clausen, Road Warrior supreme

He coached his alama mater and one other HS. Rick has always been his OC. Rick stepped away when his wife dies of cancer. Casey has since stepped away. I think insurance was his primary mode of income. They did win a couple state titles in their division. They were quite successful in the CA HS ranks coaching. Far more success at the one HS vs. the other one though. They never really had a desire to rise into college coaching. They preferred the family life. Casey did had a handful of players go D1 at AZ, ND, ASU, etc.
I quit following when I moved to Vegas and he had just accepted the HC job at his alma mater then. I still wish he could have transferred and had the desire to bring his coaching skill set to the college ranks. Glad he and Rick are doing well.

Agreed. Would have liked to seen what he could have done in the college ranks. But props for choosing the life of family he wanted verses the college coaching commitment.

He threw a wobbly ball and was basically a statue in the pocket, but he just knew how to play the position. Throwing flat footed and converting 4th and 19 on the road in OT against Alabama is about the most clutch thing I’ve ever seen.

I was so high up in the deck for that game. Was unbelievable
