So do you wish the school would have run him off after being 6-6 in his 3rd year?
UT's fanbase expects results now and championships now. No excuses. I know SC football is important, but that 5 yr run of his may have sent 2 UT coaches packing.

One school is USC.

One school it UT.

Come on.

UT has history, whereas USCe does not. That being said, CDD needs time.

Florida didn't have much history until Spurrier got there. Now they are definitely on the map. USCe might be building their tradition NOW... The real question is whether UT is destined to fall to mediocrity. It is not out of the realm of possibility. I agree with you that CDD needs time, but even with another couple of years, we might be expecting too much of the man. The league has changed since the days when UT was a powerhouse. Getting back to regular 9 or 10 win seasons might just be asking too much of any coach. Just sayin'

Agreed. People expecting CDD to win championships now are insane. I think UT will be back, but it may take three to five years. A lot of people don't truly understand how bad a situation he walked into.
