Butch will be lucky to be the coach at the end of this year - because we will likely lose a lot but not have any young recruits from this class that are worth waiting for to develop (with Dooley it made sense to wait and see what happened with Hunter and Bray when they got to be juniors - with Butch there will be no reason to wait at all if the losing streak kicks in).
Hart will probably have to go as well since you obviously can't trust him with another coaching search after what just happened.

This one started early this year. Create huge expectations for a team coming off a 5 win season.

No doubt we will have a chance to do better, but you need to wait to see results before you create too much false hope.

The higher you climb, the harder you will fall.

a couple things
1. We need to prove to high school athletes that we actually CAN develop talent. Year in and year out, we've been miserable at developing talent. If a player comes in highly rated, their innate talent is what gets them drafted, not what do and how they are bettered during their time here.
2. A Top-10 class doesn't cut it. A Top-10 class still means 6th-7th in the SEC. If we aren't cracking the top 4 classes of the SEC, it won't come together.

Wash, rinse, repeat... Everybody gets all jacked up about (insert big name recruits here) who have come down to Tennessee and (insert rival school here).... Announcement right after these messages on the Worldwide Leader... And we're back... Big name recruit reaches into bag and invariably pulls out.... Hat of rival and VN is once again let down as we fall into the abyss of schools that have to act like they're happy about settling for the scraps that the winning programs around the country didn't want anyway...

Yeah dude, it would be sweet to be paying for 4 coaches at once.

Look at where this staff has us positioned with players for next year. Alot of good recruits and legacies on the board next year. CBJ and staff is doing all they can do. Auburn had a down year also and look at what they are putting together. Most of their staff had relationships already established with kids and their parents. Plus alot these recruits and families check out these boards. The ones bashing needs to keep their mouths shut. All you are doing is hurting Tennessee Volunteer Football for the long run with future recruits!

Jones better be careful tweeting about bull crap about some good news when there is none. The number 1 job of a college head coach is friggin recruiting.

No. Kiffin, Dooley, and that dip **** dave hart are ruining Tennessee football. Recruits do not give two ****s about what a random schmoe like me has to say on a message board.

I'd forget about 2014. It will take care of itself depending on what Jones does on the field in 2013. Another losing season = another losing class for 2014. Six and six and a bowl win may make recruiting better but it all starts with winning on the field. OK

who wants to go somewhere knowing they'll be playing for the same guy 3-4 years...give 'em some variety

Governor will introduce a plan to reduce Neyland to 50 70k after 2013 season. Not sure how it will be done but should be an interesting plan.

How many can we sign next year? It looks as if we will only be takiine 22-23 this time around.

My goal by this time next year is to not pay attention to recruiting....football is much more enjoyable to watch when you don't realize who you missed out on

Now, if I'm Coach Jones, I'm taking a short nap, and then I'm pulling out all of the Oregon tapes I can find, and I'm prepping for that game.

If you can hang close with, or even beat Oregon, you're going to get a lot of people's attention Coach.

Congrats on a good first Signing Day, hopefully they will just keep getting better and better.

Can't wait for Spring Practice!
