Can't sleep any suggestions

For the past week or two I have only been sleeping about 2-4 hours max and I my tail is dragging. Six hours is my usual time and that seems to be plenty, but as of late I just toss and turn staring at the darkness. Any suggestions would be great.:unsure:

Eat two cheeseburgers then follow it up with 2 bowls of vanilla ice cream.

One thing I learned the hard way is to not take a multi-vitamin before bed...the B-complex is like natural speed

One Benadryl tab should give you 8 hours of deep sleep (I weigh in around 270..maybe a half tab if you have a more reasonable weight)

Take care of the problem that has your mind working overtime.

Wash that down with a shot of Nyquil and you will really be good.

I am gonna say 6-8 hours of heavy drinking. You will sleep like a babe .

i have problems sleeping as well. Jack Daniels is a good friend. He comes over to hang out right before I go to bed. i sleep like a champ

I taped 8 hours of Bob Kessling & Coach Fulmer on the Phillip Fulmer show. If you can stay awake watching that, you should seek immediate medical assistance.

had a similar problem......take some melatonin about 1 hour before you want to go to sleep, it works for me.

I've been suffering from insomnia for years,it comes and goes.I can't help you with any information on what to do because I have yet to find a solution for myself.I can tell you this,don't start taking any over the counter sleep-aids.I started taking some sleep-aids I had bought at Walmart and I became addicted to them.It's funny because the box stated that they were not habit forming.That was a bunch of crap.I finally got off the freaking things.I rather not get any sleep than to be what I was when I was taking the sleep-aids.Good luck on finding whatever helps you.

I feel your pain man. That's been me my whole life. I average about 3 hours a night and if I'm lucky, I get about a 30 minute nap in somewhere during the course of the day.

I've been on everything under the sun trying to get 6-8 hours and nothing ever works. I'm currently taking Lunesta right now and it helps me get to sleep, but after 3 hours from whenever I take it, I'm wide awake again.

Sounds like you're just going through a little cycle or something. Instead of laying in your bed tossing and turning, get up and watch TV or surf the net until you fell sleepy again, then go back to bed. Tossing and turning only agitates you and your brain causing you stay up even longer.

You will think I am joking, but rent the dvd of Star Trek the motion picture and I am fully confident you will sleep like a baby.
