Only fault I lay at Pruitts feet is being stubborn about playing JG

We lost the battle in the trenches because we dont have a threat at QB. Plain and simple

Kirby stacked the box and dared JG to beat him. It was done at that moment. JG made the first fumble and he was done.

He seems like a great kid, but he cant handle the pressures of the game when something goes bad. Adversity gets the best of him. He cant perform when the chips are down

Hes a 5th year senior playing like a true freshman

Pruitt needs to recognize this and pull the plug on JG.

Our other players deserve a leader that elevates the team and not one thats a constant liability

The rest of the team played well, especially the D. But the just couldnt keep up while being put in bad sitiations because of JG

JG is our Achilles Heel

Been saying this since the off season. What takes a team from meh to elite is a QB that wills a team down the field. Play falls apart? Forget it! I’ll run around until somebody is open. If I scramble out of the pocket when someone gets thru and the defense gives me 5 yards to run I’ll take it. Last time I checked you can still score like that. I could name you 10 QBs in the last 5 years that did that and several of those guys won heismans.

The OL was pretty bad, but if we had a QB that could get the ball out quicker and have better awareness, the OL would look a lot better. So I am disappointed but not embarrassed by them or anything.
How many QBs have we seen avoid UTs pass rush because of quick QB play?
Maybe that goes all the way back to Chaney for not having those play calls. Idk but you absolutely have to move on from JG. There is a zero chance to win a big game with him.
We can no longer say "it could be worse" with any other QB, because JG turned it over 3 times and did nothing outside of a couple throws.

Could not agree more, the guy is about as mobile as a forklift. This puts a ton of pressure on the O line from the pass rush, as you know where he is and he ain't going to out run anyone. Really sick of watching other teams that bring in unknown QB and they do a great job. Why are we putting up with this crap for 5 YEARS, and talking about working on footwork, we have seen him far long enough, he just is not going to win any meaningful games, just never going to happen and we will waste another year. I would rather give the other QB's a chance to play and see what they can do.

4 times. But, on the bright side, only 1 was returned for a TD.

I’ll take anybody else throwing the ball the rest of the year. Maybe send JG out to run QB left or QB right. Sort of like a wildcat package. Just make him earn the yards if he’s out there

You don’t necessarily have to be mobile to avoid the blitz. You just have to read it. Because blitzing exposes the back end of your defense, and if a QB can read it, the can make you pay (see Manning, P, and Brady, T, as masters at getting the ball out quick to the open receiver).

JG isn’t great but he’s not the reason we were shellacked like that. We were outclassed in most facets of the game.

And this is hard to admit, but true. The first half and full game stats both reveal it.

We had some bright spots on defense, though. Our front seven played well, and I think our DC made some nice adjustments to shut them down for awhile. The defense just got gassed in the second half because the inept offense couldn’t keep the ball.

He's going to have to start being an actual HC and start worrying about his offensive staff, and their lack of development. It's a crime that Will Friend can't field a solid oline with the talent we have, and being in year three with no real starting or backup QB is flat out pathetic.
