They're young and they've played two pretty good teams. Remember, it is Rutgers. It's not like he's struggling at a traditional power.

I'm a little confused as to how a team that went into the season unranked and got to the "lofty" ranking of 23rd losing to a bad bcs team on the road is somehow exposing them as a fraud. don't you have to at least be ranked high to be "exposed?"

In fairness to Cal, they kicked off at something like 9:00 or 9:30 A.M., Pacific time, which means that on the players' bodies, they woke up at probably around 6:00 A.M, if not earlier. That probably played at least a small role in their performance.

Could be worse droski...you could have lost to a team on national television...a team that proceeded to get drilled by a mid-major no less...so everyone could see first hand how far your once proud program has fallen...

I agree with Hat that for some reason you all manage to get built up every year...I think it might be the love affair every media type seems to have with your coach...but I still think its funny how many posters in this thread are throwing stones from inside a glass house
