that's to the refs right? cause neither fan base has the ability to do this for this game.I'd rather just lose by 10 than have to complain that a questionable call in the last minute cost the Gators the game. Likewise would rather win by 10 than have to put up with whining from the other direction.
Just please be even-handed and use good judgment.
I'd like to see Swain pull a gaffney, just so they know how it feels.
This is my point exactly. I don't want to be on the short end of the officiating stick and I'd much rather win outright than have to defend it 5 years from now, or lose outright and have to blame some guy wearing pinstripes who blew it.
i think anyone that knows anything about football, even at the most basic fan level can see that both teams have weaknesses, and who ever can take advantage and force the other team's hand will likely win.All a matter of degree. Some on here are rooting for their team to win but are willing to acknowledge their own weaknesses and the other's strengths.
I think Ainge has turned the corner and looks like , dare I even say it, "A Heistman Canidate"
i agree...and i hate to even say this....but he's put up great numbers thus far and will have 3 huge games probably on a national stage...he throws for 300+ against UF, UGA and LSU...he could get an invite.Ainge WILL NOT win the Heisman. It is a two horse race between Troy Smith and Brady Quinn. Ainge is playing by far the best he has in his career, but he has a snowball's chance in hell of winning the Heisman.

but that notwithstanding, i think he has no shot at the end of the day, and it is a meaningless debate. Smith and Quinn are the frontrunners and it will likely come down to who plays better in thier biggest games...OSU vs. Mich and ND vs. USC....

I don't think there is as much a chance for the officiating to get in the way of a fair game anymore with the onset of instant replay. I like it personally because it gets the call right. No sense in a game being decided by a wrong call and as fast as the game moves these days, I bet the refs appreciate it to.
