Hopefully this can be pulled off without it turning into a hate/fire Dooley thread.

What do you honestly think is the problem with our football program? It's NOT just one thing or one person so please be specific and break it down.

Here are my thoughts:
-We have a qb who is obviously not a leader.
-We have a defensive coach who is not getting the job done.
-We have a WR who looked amazing but can no longer catch balls.
-Aside from the Alabama game we've had a kicker who's mostly been inconsistent.

Aside from firing the HC how would you change things, and/or who would you change?

Sorry, it all falls on the HC. We have been down this road, DD changed his entire staff save 2. Sooner or later the head coach must step up and take the blame.

I know thats not the answer you wanted, but it is what it is.

We have a coaching staff that is not SEC quality coaching and recruiting.

Sometimes the simple answer is the best one.

There are a lot of 1 track minds that can't look beyond that.

I would start Worley against USC. He and Patterson are from there and it would punch some emotion into a listless team.

I would look at who else might be ready to start at WR along with Patterson.

I would hold try-outs if necessary to find a DB that can cover.

I would hope that USC is flat after 2 losses instead of fired up.

we have a coach or coaches that are not leaders.so how can you expect a player to be a leader ? everything falls back on the HC.

Its not just A kicker. Every aspect of our kicking game has been a disaster. We can't even execute the extra point. Quite possibly the most automatic play in football, and UT can't seem to get it down.

Here let me lay it out here for ya... Fire that idiot! How many times are we going to throw long (and miss) on 3rd and short. How many times do we need to burn timeouts just for personale issues? Ask yourself this? Is Dooley as good as Fulmer? Is Dooley as good Majors? Is Dooley as good as Doug Dickey? If you answer no 3 times then you just figured out its time to fire Dooley.

I'm sorry but do you really think that SEC caliber dbs are walking around campus & you can just plug them into the defense in the middle of the season?

When you hire a good coach, it is obvious in the first year regardless of talent. Best recent example (different sport) at UT was when Bruce Pearl was hired. We went from a joke in the conference to a powerhouse with the same talent.

They are comming off two losses. We will get steam rolled. How is this Defense going to stop Lattimore? We will make Shaw look like Peyton Manning. He will hit wide open recievers all day long.

A in over his head coach.( Always has been)
Half wit QB, with no leadership skills. (Major disappointment)
A supposed first round WR with stone hands.( NFL $ dancing in his head)
A defense that's probably the worst i've ever seen..( Hiring Sal has punched Dooley's ticket out of town)

That's the whole picture and it's a bad one...

OP, the problem with our football program is every decision Mike Hamilton made since 2003. It is time to reverse all of them.

Especially the one where he took seats OUT of Neyland stadium.

What's wrong with our football program can be summed up in six simple letters. D-O-O-L-E-Y

Apathetic Fans who know we have no real shot at winning SEC games. A young generation of fans who have never seen Tennessee as a top tier team. Dropping revenues. Dropping attendance. Loss of national prestige. Loss of instate talent to rival schools.

I'm sure I missed something

I'm sorry, but do you really see any SEC caliber dbs running around in our secondary?

All you need to do is take a look at dooley's possum face when the lights hit it.(meaning) Dooley looks defeated before the game has even began.
