Can we agree that there is no excuse for losing to Mississippi State a week from Saturday? Can we agree there will be no "moral victories" this time?

While it wouldn't be a "signature win", a win would give Dooley his first road win outside of Tennessee, and assuming Mississippi State handles business against Kentucky, it would be his first win over a ranked team as well. However, we have to be honest. A loss in Starkville likely means that, in three years, Dooley still hasn't gotten Tennessee to the level of Mississippi State. I don't see how there would be any way to spin that.

Vegas has Miss State as a seven point favorite over the Vols. So how can you possibly expect Derek to win that game?

Wait until we are favored over someone, then try to play this card.

Not a spin mister but, I agree that State is a "MUST WIN" IMHO.... we all know Hart is willing to fire people

I think if we win it will be a quality win. They will likely be undefeated and are already ranked. Chances are a 5-0 sec team will be ranked pretty high. They will have a sold out loud crowd.

I know they are typically not a great team and I know the teams they have beaten are not great teams but fact is beating an undefeated ranked team is a good win no matter how you slice it.

Now, lets hope we win.

I'M done with moral victories, but the bullies are no push overs.

What is up with these fans who keep insisting on one-game seasons for us? I believe we play at least 12 games, win or lose. Geez Louise.

As to the question in your title "Can we agree" seems to imply to me that the only post you have ever bothered to read are those you have written.

Surely anyone who has read two days posts on Volnation already knows we are incapable to agreeing on anything

If the defense decides to play we should be ok. Make no mistake though, Miss. State is capable of playing very tough with anyone.

We can agree that they blow sack and smell like feces... Side note- seems to be a high percentage of pedifile teachers at their university

Dooley needs this win in a very bad way, but I can't agree there are no excuses. The question to me is, is MSU for real.

I'll tell you this, Mullen has MSU doing more with less. I've never understood, and this goes deep into the Fulmer days, how we never seem to do more with more. You see teams every year around the nation win a ton of games and solid games at that with what everyone has to agree is lesser talent, ie Boise State. MSU is doing that this year. That said, we best go in there and kick some tail! Otherwise we're about to see a whole new meaning of train wreck imo. Go VOLS!

Geez ! Sounds like people are giving up on The Vols ! If the fans give up, the players also give up! Im sticking with UT no matter what the record is! Now lets whoop Miss St ass and prove everybody wrong. We definitely have the talent on the field to beat any SEC team. Our problem is the coaching. Sorry if you disagree but its the truth! Very predictable offensive plays and Chaney needs to make some serious adjustments. Go Vols !

No we can't agree on that because that's stupid. MSU will be a touchdown favorite, so we have NO EXCUSE not to win?

Do you people not get it? These days when you play a better team than you on the road, you lose more often then not...

Anyone who thinks this should be a sure win and any othe result should be the end of Dooley is looking for reasons to put too much pressure on a still young team. If you expect unrealistic results your going to end up butthurt. Maybe even worse then that frat kid.

We have 3 years worth of 6th in the SEC recruiting and we have the talent to match up with EVERYONE? Even teams with 4 full classes have a solid leg up from the get go.

This is a game we need to win. If we lose then it means we have to take down SC or Bama to get to eight wins, which IMHO will allow CDD to keep his job.

GBO !

Only moral victories we ever had was when Kiffin was here. Everyone fell for that crap. :eek:lol:

I'm curious as to how good MSU will turn out. Second in the West good? Or fifth in the West good? Alabama on top with Auburn and Arkansas on the bottom.
