Everyone knows that anybody can get beat on any given night, that alone makes it near impossible to do. In order to beat this Vol team you're going to have to score 40 or more in at least one half. Its going to take 75+ to beat us as the offense simply doesn't have any weakness. Most games we are doing whatever we want. I'd guess that we only play a game or two the rest of the way and not score 75. Therefore an opposing team must really be able to score in order to keep up and very few teams on our schedule are likely to put up points against the Vols defense. Kentucky and Auburn in my opinion are the only 2 teams left on our schedule that can score 40+ in 2 halves.

We'll likely see Ky 3 times this year and Auburn once. Those 4 games will determine how many losses this team has entering into the tournament. Any other losses can happen but at this point would be considered huge upsets.

I think we go 3-1 those 4 games, win everything else that we'll be heavily favored in and enter the tournament as the number 1 overall seed. If we smash Ky in Rupp then I definitely believe we can run the table.

Lots can happen between now and the end, we could go 0-4 vs Ky and Auburn and lose 2 more that we shouldn't and limp into the tourney as a 3 seed with 7 losses. Sounds farfetched to me!

Curious as to who everyone thinks could break the roll that we are on?

Would help if Bowden is healthy. Anyone read or heard anything on his health status?

Sure...we have the depth and talent it would take.

However....I would be surprised if we did. I would even be surprised if we didn’t have several games under 75. I also would not be at all surprised if we lose a game where our opponent doesn’t score 40 in a half.

Running the table in a college ball power conference......that’s a truly rare feat.

That's a rare team as well. I just don't see them struggling. It's going to take at least 3 of our big 6 to struggle during the same game and one of those will have to be Grant. We could lose 2 or 3 more but the season is quickly coming to an end and scenarios where we are likely to lose are dwindling.

Personally I hope we don’t. Understanding that we can go on a long focused run is great. Getting a loss later in the season could double down on their focus knowing they could lose at anytime. That way they see that they have weaknesses that can cause an early exit if they don’t focus.

I say this because I think some teams checkout during the first few games counting them as a win before it even starts. Now personally I think we are past this but I also would like to see a double down on defense and a complete refocus.

This is coming from a novice fan so I reserve the right to be wrong.

Can I win the lottery - yes Will I win the lottery - no. We have already overachieved and I don't think anyone runs the table these days. Playing on the road with questionable officiating -- we will not be running the table.

I’m expecting we will. It won’t be easy but these guys have put in the work to get it done. I’m there will times our shots won’t fall and whoever is on the floor with us will shoot lights out, but in the end our Super Stars will buckle down and execute our offense and play shut down defense and make the plays that it will take to run the table.

What an exciting time to be a Vol!

Not gonna happen. Kentucky is loaded, and like you said, we may see them 3 times. LSU is very good and I expect Auburn to be playing much better by the time we see them. Multiple loses are probable.

I had forgotten about LSU and they would be a team that could put up 40+ a half. That's 5 games vs the big boys so somewhere between 5-0 - 3-2. I can't see us losing more than 2 the rest of the way.

No!!!!! Ky will want to beat the # 1 Team. We play them twice in the same month, so I see one loss if not two
Auburn is dangerous in Auburn.
Miss. State & Florida again. LSU is a top # 25 Team.
I don't know of any team in American college landscape that can go thru that and not lose at least one game.

I've already made the argument that we'll likely play Ky 3 times, Auburn and then added LSU. I think we have just as good a chance to go 5-0 as we do to lose 3 of those games. We'll be heavy favorites vs Miss St and Florida

It would be great to beat UK twice in regular season, again in the SEC tournament finals then again in the regional finals.

Most great teams in NCAA have a couple of All Americans or super star freshmen.
We don't have that but we have a team of hard working, fundamentally sound player's
We have a minimum of 6 guys on this roster that will likely play pro at some level, 4 very likely at the NBA level. Tn, Duke, Gonzaga and Ky are the 4 most talented teams in the country and nobody else is even close top to bottom as we simply don't know how talented Pons, Walker and Jalen turn out to be yet. They may have all been unranked at the HS level but in today's college game the Vols are arguably the most talented team in the country.
