I was just curious if Tennessee can back count any recruits for this class. We are off to a great start as far as number of committments go since Dooley has been here so I was just wondering if Dooley will recruit over somebody, or will he try to backcount someone or will he just oversign out of spite since we all know how Dooley feels about the cap on signing recruits placed on the SEC. If Tennessee does end up backcounting recruits then what would be the max they could sign.

Technically we could. However, we are bumping up against the 85 spots. Attrition, academic casualties, transfers, and players leaving for the NFL will determine how large our signing class will be.

I'm really not sure. I know we lost Clear and probably Schofield and the jury is still out on Lainer as to if the coaches will let him come back for next year or not.

This year 22 players count. So next class could back-count as many as three, giving the Vols 28 in this class. There are currently 82 on scholarship with 13 of them Seniors.

I was thinking there was gonna be a little Sabanizing going on, but now the graduation rate is becoming an issue. Plus, some of those players are starting to grow up (physically and mentally). Could be a smaller class than I previously thought.
