Can Otha Peters switch his LOI . . .

Petrino will stay. Girlfriend will go. SEC football will continue uninterrupted. If Arky had any morals in their Athletic dept., it would have surfaced long ago before Petrino. They don't and he stays.

Trying to justify Dooley as being comparable to Petrino right now is asinine. It's like trying to compare the Pittsburg Steelers against a HS football team.

That's twice now that you've responded with comments that were either redundant or completely out of context with what I've written.

Learn to read.

Learn to make points that make sense. You compared Dooley to Petrino's first two years at Arky, correct?

Petrino was 13-12 his first two seasons at Arkansas and has gone 21-5 since

it's something worth keeping in mind for those of us looking for some hope that Dooley might still be successful here

They aren't comparable, even a little bit. It is obvious who the better of the two is. It is also obvious why Petrino had a longer leash at Arky than Dooley has here.

Sorry to go OT from the political debate, but anybody else realize that Petrino was 13-12 in his first two seasons at Arkansas and has gone 21-5 since?

I realize it's not an apples to apples comparison because he was so successful at Louisville, but it's something worth keeping in mind for those of us looking for some hope that Dooley might still be successful here.

im assuming that none of this Petrino monkey business will involve any NCAA violations?.

State felony, tho.

He's a state employee (the state's highest paid employee, I believe), and used state funds to hire his secret girlfriend to a nice, cushy job.

I'm pretty sure that's illegal as hell..

Stop being a jackass.

Not possible with this webtesticle guy. Check out his comment history.

When confronted with a claim that you don't know how to read, the best response is probably not to quote select portions of a statement, ignoring important parts that dramatically change the context.

That kind of oafish behavior tends to confirm the other person's suspicions rather than refute them.

Considering that almost all of the communication on a message board is written, you might want to find other mediums of expression that will better utilize your unique skill set: screaming at your television, for instance. Just make sure to keep and extra box of kleenex around to wipe the spittle from your chin.

You've yet to respond with anything but attacks. Kudos to you.

Is there some value to explaining it again? It's still there. You can go back and read it. Somebody even emboldened the relevant parts for you.

If you don't feel any obligation to do more to correct your ignorance, then I certainly shouldn't.

By the same token, since you apparently don't have a problem being the clown, I don't see why it's inappropriate to have myself a few chuckles over it.

I was stating that you can't compare them. Petrino was on a longer leash at Arkansas due to his past success at his previous stops. Dooley doesn't have the luxury of time like Petrino had.

Then obviously you were talking to yourself since the statement you quoted had nothing to do with leashes, dog parks, harnesses or anything of the like. It was a statement hoping that maybe we could have a "third-year's-the-charm" moment like Arkie did.

However, since it was written "for those of us looking for some hope", we shouldn't expect you to be among those who would get it.

:hi:

If you would prefer, Dabo Swinney was 15-12 in the ACC coming off a 6-7 season before going 10-4 with an Orange Bowl appearance last season.

Swinney's rep was as a recruiting coordinator, just like Dooley. Before going to Clemson, he wasn't a head coach and was out of college football.

Based on our roster, I could see UT having a similarly explosive offense and surprising some teams this season, much like Clemson did last year.
