Yes, I am talking about Marlon Brown from Harding Academy in Memphis. I mean 6'5", 205, makes for a very good receiver, I guess maybe the top 5 in the nation. I know Kiffin visited with him and I hope everything went well but look at all the other schools he has got offers from and a lot of them, he has the same interest in, I gotta bad feeling he might go to Florida.

College Choices:
FLORIDA (MED INT)
GEORGIA (MED INT)
LSU (MED INT)
OHIO STATE (MED INT)
TENNESSEE (MED INT)
OKLAHOMA(LOW INT)
USC (LOW INT)
NOTRE DAME (LOW INT)

VISIT DATES:
FLA-1/10/09
UGA- 9/26/08
LSU-1/24/09
OHIO STATE-10/10/08
TENNESSEE-1/31/09

Oklahoma, USC, and NOTRE DAME are proably out of the picture, I heard that the kid wanted to not go too far away and with Tennessee being within range on the dates of LSU and Florida, better watch out, I just got that serious bad feeling that Meyer is going to hook him, something about Gainesville for all the recruits and I really don't know what it is. Anyways Go Vols and I hope Kiffin can land him, this would be a sensational progress in the recruiting game for the Vols.

he has big play potential. i think if kiffin can get him to buy into his offense and how it helped big wide outs like mike williams and d jerrett at usc. I have heard reports its down to the Vols or G-Dog's. would hate to see fine tennessee blood go to the butthole of the south-Athens:pepper:

Getting big time players to Tennessee is one of the primary reasons Kiffin was hired.

i do like the fact that he visits us last. if we can leave the best taste in his mouth then i think we get him. i think we got him. i think he may lack some speed however and a little time in the weight room. he will be very good in time though. his frame is exceptional.

Absolutely....What got me was in his press conference he said we have to put a fence around the state of Tennessee....I understand we want to be able to recruit inside the state and get the talent that is capable of play D-1 college football to come to UT but with the exception of Rogan and Cobb(only ones I can think of off the top of my head) who else is there? I would like to know how Fulmer could let Cobb get out of TN because he's a great athelete, he didnt do much when we played him but he can play anywhere it looks like..But obviously I think we need someone that can go into Florida and recruit against Urban Meyer and go out to Cali and Texas and recruit there.....I think that will take a couple of years until Kiffin shows that we are on the right track as far as winning games and championships to be able to do that....Florida IMO is the most important because Urban Meyer has that state on lock down and that's where most of the best talent in the country comes from

Tennessee has actually put out some pretty good top end talent.

Barrett Jones, backing up Andre Smith at Bama, Don'ta Hightower at Bama last year.

Two years ago, Golden Tate, one of the best WR's in the country now, is playing for Notre Dame.

Brandon Warren originally went to Florida State, and Graig Cooper is at Miami from 3 years ago

Four years ago was probably the worst though. Patrick Turner, USC's #1 WR, and Micheal Oher, a consensus top 15 draft pick this year, went out of state.

Yeah I don't know how I forgot about Warren and Turner.....Turner slipped my mind but he's been great Kiffin even mentioned him in his press conference...I guess Warren slipped my mind because we didn't really see him much at all this year which is beyond me...As good as an athlete as he was even if he don't know the system not many LB's could match up with him as fast as he is, just tell him to run and get open...From the sounds of it though Kiffin knows what its going to take and will get the job done
