finally shut their mouths about how Butch Jones wasn't a good hire. He's definitely got us headed in the right direction. Let's cross our fingers for Lawson, and get ready for the next football season. Go Vols!

Hopefully he'll end up being the next Urban Meyer, ie coming from a lesser program in a smaller conference and having what it takes to rise to the top of the SEC.

Let's see how he coaches before you pronounce him savior of our university.

I agree it's very clear he's much more qualified than Dooley ever was.

Hopefully he doesn't become a drama queen after 6 years of quit, come back then quit.

Hope CBJ is here for the long haul and TN pays the man to stay.

Absolutely not. I went the blind faith everything is great. And Tennessee is one maybe two years from SEC glory. With the last two coaches. That didn't work at all. I want to see results until I bow down and kiss his ring.

Short answer is "no." VN's agreement on coaching hires is like racial harmony, world peace, etc... no act of man is going to bring it about.

Not trying to call him the "savior". Just saying he was a good hire, and he's got us headed in the right direction. It shows from his past coaching that he can win, which is what Dooley could not, so hopefully he'll be successful and win here too.

Not bashing you man. But I hope you realise coaching has little to do with it in this league now. You have to have the player's in this league.
